Thanks OP, been waiting for these to come on offer again, they're brilliant little plugs.
Nice small footprint so as not to overlap other outlets if used on an extension strip and the indicator light doesn't illuminate the whole damned room!
Bought 4 on Black Friday and well pleased with them, just ordered 4 more!
Heat added.
Decent price, voted hot.

I've got a floor lamp in the living room that I use Alexa to then on/off
These are Tuya (like a lot of them) made so you can flash them over the air with Tasmota or similar if you have a RaspberryPi and Tuya-convert or similar. You then don't need the smart-life based app.

That last line is literally the only part of your sentence that I understand
Seems a sensible price for this type of plug. Amazon/tplink etc charging £20+ is a ripoff.

Is this the cheapest Tuya device?

I've already got wifi bulbs and four "radio remote" sockets that I can control from my HomeAssistant (pi) - I just can't think of any more uses for them. Thanks anyway

Do arlos need a reboot that often? I'm in the market for a WiFi security camera

Not necessarily no, mine has gone down once in just over a month of use but it went down when I was away from home meaning I couldn't manually reboot. I use a smart plug just incase now.
Works a treat in my house: "Alexa, turn off the Kids WiFi" never has there been a better motivation to clean their bedrooms! Additionally if you setup all your kids devices on a separate access point you can set complex timers to turn it off and on limiting internet time (especially when it's bed time).

No idea, the prices go up and down, they have Amazon daily deals and often 10% off vouchers.
Teckin are another brand that are Tuya made as are Blitzwolf, Jules, Slitinto, and anything the remotely looks similar. Seems to be more every other week.
Look for the bundles of four.
Some also have energy monitoring.
Some are strips sockets to.

Search Tasmota (Sonoff) and Tuya-convert, easy to use with Alexa/Google even for grouping and scheduling and all the Hass/etc.
Or just directly via a their own direct web address.
