Not bad if you just want something to work at. Comes with Vista Business, and you can upgrade to XP Pro for free. No screen; a 1.8 dual core processor or you can go for 2.2 for an extra £40 (but I'm going to wait until I can get the 2.66GHz cheap).

No MONITOR - the image is misleading

Shima

£129 without the warranty +VAT and shipping.

Looks interesting

£211.57 with the one year warranty and vat and delivery.

If I reduce the warranty but make no other changes mine comes to £211.57 (with VAT + Delivery). Cant seem to get £204.

System unit is £129.00 plus VAT comes to £151.58

Plus shipping for £60 comes to £211.57

But overall not a bad starter box for just over £200.

Use the voucher to get 5% off (expires tomorrow). Sorry about the image - don't know how to fix it (but I'll try).

AH! Turns out I do know how to change an image, after all :-)

Is this a really good price for the processor speed and stuff? Dont know too much about prices etc but know computers generally.

Not bad, those that want a Full system with a 19" monitor have a look at this one, lower spec and smaller hardrive, i know but WITH a monitor and only about 20 quid more.

what,s the voucher?

For £90 more you can get a faster processor - 2.2 Ghz, 3 times the memory ,twice the harddrive size, 128mb graphics card , 19-in 1 card reader and a dvd-rom drive. All for £294 delivered . So voted cold.

How can you justify this comment?

Its obviously a hot deal, but what u found is also good. Do yourself a favour, stop bitching about how good yours is, and bloody well post it! Its people like you who stop deals like this getting through.

It's a good find, thanks to Timbellina.

I still have a problem with Dell's £60 delivery charge. It's ridiculous. :x

In this month's PcPro, Jon Honeyball talks about PC manufacturers who sell at cost, relying on outrageous delivery charges to make a profit. I wonder who he might be talking about???

The deal I am talkin about is D022012 on dell business and use voucher code F83HW0S41J$6FS to get an extra 5% until 27th feb.

Now that's a cold place.

You're quite entitled to your opinion - you don't think this is hot; actually, this is the most expensive Dell I've ever bought, so I don't think it's red-hot; but it's the cheapest reasonable spec (i.e. dual-core) they're offering right now. I would think of your deal as a waste of £90 - I don't need the extra speed or ram.
But whichever; that voucher expires on the 27th, so there's not a lot of time to take advantage.

There'll be another deal along shortly, I'm sure.

Tim

Have to agree, this deal cold, compared to last weeks Vostro 400 deals, due to expire today, tried speccing the this Vostro 200 the same as I did with the 400, which I still have saved, with the better CPU, RAM & HDD, this came out at £504, compared to the V400 deal which came out at £363 and included larger HDD.

£35 extra get you a screen so cold

I just ordered the D022012 very good deal I thought, £280 delivered with VAT and it's got 2.2 ghz dual processor a 500GB HD and 3GB Ram, DVDWriter and DVD drive, is only an office computer so didn't need the fastest processor or the best graphics in the world anyway and just got in there on the voucher.

If you filter by Dell Business and then click Vouchers at the top, the voucher code will be displayed.

I'm going to vote Hot although it's not as good as some of the earlier Dell Deals (E4500, 2GB, 320GB HD for £178 delivered, before they started charging delivery).

I'm going to order one of these for a relative so if anyone knows a better deal (less than £250 for base unit only) please post it.

Reason why I won't order a Dell monitor with the system is because they only offer you a 1yr warranty for the monitor if it's purchased with the base unit :x. A 19" widescreen can be purchased for £100 with 3 years warranty.
