I have this. An excellent tool. Very handy.
Brilliant tool,good price,highly recommend,
Also got one great tool and great value
Can this be used as a polisher with the right attachment?
I bought the battery version of this from Aldi and the only down side was having to charge a single battery every 15 minutes. This is on par with top branded ones.
I want one - and this is a great price - but I'm struggling to justify the purchase (I'm useless and this site is slowly ruining me).
What do you guys use these for?
I bought one of these for £10 on clearance after they last had them in. Not as powerful as some but decent enough for ocassional DIY use. A previous Aldi one packed up after limited use (problem with the brushes) so hoping this one is more robust.

I was in the exact same shoes when the battery ones were on sale. I'm not a handyman, what the heck am I gonna use this for? I already cut some wood with it, evened out some plastering before painting so I used it a bit. Is it awesome? Yes. Will I use it a lot? Probably no but it's there when I need it. And the battery one of setting 6 is loud as heck.
This is a bargain, heat added
I have one of these though mine came in a Platic moulded case. Brilliant tool used for everything from flooring to sanding.
I paid less then £20 and have had mine for about 5 Years and even though its only used for DIY, I do the DIY for 4 houses so it gets used quite frequently. Just wish I`d had one for the lat 25 Years lol
Both Aldi and LIdl sell the accessory sets for about 5-8 quid a pack.

I'd also like to know if it can be used as a polisher

No it’s no good as a polisher - its a reciprocating tool for cutting, sanding wood etc.
Thanks, probably still gonna get one!
I bought a Bosch version of this about 11 years ago when i laminated my whole house because I wanted to use it to cut under the door frames etc

This was when they first came out I remember showing my chippy mate it and he laughed and said why do you want something like that just use a hand saw to cut the frames. A few years after he bought one and loves it.

As an electrician I use this all the time cutting floorboards notching out joists cutting out plasterboard boxes etc you can use it to cut pipes etc

the work zone version is not going to be as good as the Bosch but for £20!! 3 blades sanding pads and the bag absolute bargain. Hot!!

if they sell a pack of Blades I suggest you buy them because the blades do get worn out very quick

Can this be used to remove grout from in between tiles?
Are these compatible with other branded accessories or are you reliant on Aldi having stock

Were either of the two you bought 300W?
Anyone got a link for additional blades? especially the plunge saw
The cutting blades that come with it don't last long at all. Is it worth buying bosch blades - will they fit and are they worth the £15 it costs in screwfix to buy them?

Newer one, yes. Older one which failed may have been a bit more powerful.
Does anyone know if Aldi offer click and collect? Thanks

So pay £20 for the tool and £15 for the blades...

The Bosch ones don't fit these..the stud pattern is slightly different .

Unless they have changed the style
Mine just arrived
I bought one today, still plenty of stock around. Thank you OP!
