Seems a fair price for a pair of saw horses. Conflicting reviews but should be decent enough for the general DIYer?

I think so, yes, but it confuses me why people think things needs to be reduced in order for them to represent good value and therefore become good 'deals' - especially if a comparable item cannot be found for less money?
Comments on aldi's site are negative.

Surely the site is for things that are classed as 'deals' as in they are now a good deal/price but maybe weren't always. If not then we could potentially have Aldi beans posted as someone may think they're good value? Same for Asda smart price pizza? Morrisons own butter? The list could be endless.

Yep, potentially. They may not be hot deals but a deal in that persons eye nonetheless. I wouldn't personally post the examples you provided but sure they already exist. In fact here you go:
