I bought this a few weeks ago and has been used more than I expected. You also get a small selection of glue sticks to get you started with it. A great buy.
Can we make this thread a sticky?
Thanks for Posting
None in ours. I was looking for 1 last week.
Poundland have been stocking glue guns and sticks lately so it's worth checking there too.
I got one from Lidl a while ago and still don't know... Is it me who don't know how to use it or it does not really work? Tried to glue few various materials and none of it lasted more than a day or two...
Saw it reduced in my local for £2.97 - couldn't recommend Workzone stuff enough really. Great stuff at stupidly low prices.

Why?
Stickies on websites are generally for things that are more permanent.
Nothing here is permanent, it expires, but you can always find it (I think) if you do a search. They seem to keep all threads AFAICT.

What 'various materials' They are excellent for porous materials like fabric. They are not suitable for repairing things like China.

I tried to repair plastic lid closing mechanism from bin, plastic pipe underneath the car bonnet which snapped. Cant remember now what else but as you said maybe I am just using it for the wrong purpose

You need a strong plastics glue for stuff like that. Glue guns are more for arts and crafts, where you don't need a superstrong bond. The glue after drying is pretty easy to remove so won't withstand too much force. Think of it more like school glue.

There are hundreds of different glues depending on various factors like what material is being stuck, what temperature your using it at, what temperature the "fixed" product is going to live, what it is going to be in contact in eg oils.

There is no one size fits all glue.

I know, but I bought the glue gun after reading this is such a great thing, so I thought it is universal
