    i would assume so yes as it can measure from -50°C up to 380°C

    Try measuring the temperature of the sky - quite interesting! Just make sure there's no planes or helicopters flying around, those lasers are BRIGHT! (edited)

    My ebay version reads upto 390*C = just checked thin metal tray on gas hob.
    It reads a bit low at freezing.

    How accurate are these for different surfaces?
    This is from YT video,
    In practice, a simple IR thermometer whose default emissivity is fixed will give temperatures lower than the actual temperature is the emissivity of the object is less than unit, say 0.8 or 0.6. To overcome this apparent discrepancy, you may choose an IR thermometer with adjustable emissivity function.

    Also package seems to say, works with all organic surfaces.
