A little cheaper + a free temperature gauge and free delivery available immediately.

Voted hot anyway as these are great.
Although currently out of stock, £24.49 Amazon : amazon.co.uk/gp/…10Q
Purchased the Amazon one last year. It looks & works just as well as the EcoFan model I purchased many years ago.

Buy one and give it to those who have stove
WTF is it?

WTF is it?

its a fan that sits on a wood burning stove (etc) and uses the heat to power the fan, thus distributing the heat.
Had my 4 blade one for two years, they don't do anything.Would not blow a candle out.
bought this last year at Aldi, have to say although it spins fast, it doesnt seem to make much difference to heat distribution, looks good though!

I've got 2 on my stove - looks like a twin turboprop. This is a good price

Yes I got one a couple of years ago from aldi - great quality, spins very fast and looks great - but probably doesn’t make much difference
Converts heat to electricity to power a motor and turn a fan...

So why cant they incorporate something bigger into... say... a boiler - which then produced electricity to power a microwave or tv..?
would this work on top of a radiator ?

It requires quite a high heat to operate, so i would imagine that it wouldn't work on a normal household radiator.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago from Aldi, it definitely makes a difference to the heat in our open plan 50m2 kitchen/snug.
Top tip for the pro designers, 3d print one for a fraction of the price like I'm going to do later.
Bought one last year and it makes the whole room a better temperature rather then the hot spots we used to have.
Will rattle unless weighted down and stops me using the top of the stove as a plate warmer but would not be without it now.

really???? u get my vote for the number 2 spot :P

syn: compel, impel agree in the idea of forcing someone to be or do something. compel implies an external force; it may be a persuasive urging from another person or a constraining reason or circumstance: Bad health compelled him to resign. impel suggests an internal motivation deriving either from a moral constraint or personal feeling: Guilt impelled him to offer money.

Considering the min temp of 110C your rads would be burn to touch and most boilers average 65C to the radiators, the answer is no.

Not sure if your joking or not, but CHP boilers do just that
Trouble is they are many times the cost of a normal boiler, the feed in rates got slashed and there reliability was poor compared to a normal boiler.

We used to have one too. Agree in that it didn't make any noticeable difference.

"Every day is a school day."
The reason these don't work well is the blades are set to move very little air as the heat does not generate enough electricity to power any more.
