Wow! That is a great price. Ordered.

Heat and Rep to you mong_123

Don't forget Quidco at 7% for HMV dvd purchases

I got it for this last year ... good to see it back again at this price

lol
£29.99 is hot, yet I was selling the same thing for considerably less with no interest
I got offered £8 for the 10 disc set hahahaha

Excellent, bought 2 (1 for may Dad at Xmas)

Nice price for a great series , pity it isn't the price blunder from last year when a lot of people got it for £5 !

I'm 3/4 through watching this!

bit of a creepy program (at least the music at the beginning and end is) and a great impartial account of ww2 with plenty of video footage from the time

hitler.. he was a bit bonkers, but he came so close to taking over all of europe. then again, if he wasn't bonkers enough to screw it up half way through with some weird decisions, he probably wouldn't have started in the first place.. so the bonkerishness was probably to his advantage overall (bit of a fecker for everyone else)

[p.s. I'm Irish and therefore allowed to use the made up word feck]

I collected the whole series from the daily mail , just the cost of the daily paper every day and I buy that paper anyway everyday so it was a freebie and I loved it , 26 discs only 1 episode on 1 disc but I have the the boxes for them too and makes a great box set

Really expensive night tonight

Thanks for the post

Never knew they had video in the 1940's and Hitler a bit bonkers! :whistling:

Excellent series, I think everyone should watch this at least once. Ordered and voted hot.

From a review on Amazon (where this set costs £60.97)

The World at War never looked better. Digital re-mastering has made … The World at War never looked better. Digital re-mastering has made archive footage and colour interviews appear freshly-minted, and certainly justifies the upgrade if you already own the series on video. The sheer, moving quality of this documentary continues to deliver a powerful message over 30 years after it was made. The extra material is more than enough for the die-hard war documentary watcher. And it all takes up less room than one of those old plastic double video packs. Every world leader should be given a copy of this magnificent, essential series, and made to watch it before deciding on launching the world into another conflict.

Thanks Gitfinger
