Buy this (or similar), stick on Horizon Zero Dawn, prepare to have your mind blown.
I recently got a tv so this deal is not for me (65xe9305).... however whilst it is true value is subjective based on personal circumstances..... one fairly sensible way of looking at it imo.

if you are the sort of person who watches a lot of tv, esp movies and "epic" series then i think it is easy to make a strng case for spending £2000+ on a tv which one would expect to last beyond 5 years.

if however all you watch is a bit of eastenders, britains got talent and dancing on ice for a few hrs each week..... then clearly you wont get as much value out of a big tv which is more suited to home cinema type viewing.

i know from my POV I have spent more than 2k on things which over the life of the product wont give me anywhere near the hrs of entertainment a good tv gives me

Agree! Some people just have to whinge though don’t they?! I bought an LG OLED in 2016 for £2.5k and I love it. Use it for both TV and Xbox One X.

I don’t smoke and I don’t drink often... look at it this way... there’s plenty of people out there that spend £7 a day on cigarettes (so £2.5k a year) and in that context £2.5k on a TV that will potentially last 5 years+ doesn’t seem so bad in my opinion
Voting cold because I was happily living in ignorance of the £1899 deal I missed

I looked at this and very nearly pulled the trigger. Was put off by the warranty only being 1 year. I’m also guessing that it has a European plug, although that isn’t a deal breaker to be fair.

Was there any confirmation of them honouring their voucher for that £600 off making this £1899 ? I thought it was a mistake and they weren’t going to?

Got the C7 version of this for 2299 from RS because of it.

Could you imagine the hassle trying to return it if there was an issue?

The sad fact is yes they have.
For some 2k for a tv is insane whilst for others it's a days wages.

Hey, this is cheap in comparison to when plasma first came out. Some people were spending 10k on those back in the day.
55 inch is like £500. Seems pointless to splurge nearly £2K more for slightly wider. May as well get a decent projector

You wouldn't think twice about spending £2k on a weekend away, some new glassware, or a nice meal in a restaurant, so why not spend that much on a TV?

Is this the best 65" 4k tv available?
Edited by: "utopiangames" 14th May
I've had one since release last year, paid £4,500 for it. Got the blu ray player and SJ8 SoundBar thrown in.

While i'm a little annoyed it dropped so quickly in price (it was about £1,500 lower 4 months down the line) it has been absolutely superb.
Had just convinced myself i could justify about £1300 for the 55 inch, now I am trying to convince myself I don't need a 65

2k? If it was a weekend in a luxury water villa in the Maldives with a box of new glasses and a slap up meal - sure.
Does anyone think the price will drop to around £1800 again any time soon?

These things are clearing out and beginning to get out of stock in some places. I think if they are around by next bank holiday then they'll possibly drop another £100-£200...doubt it will go to £1900.

All guessing above obviously, but what i've noticed.

Ah the stench of first world envy masquerading as moral/intellectual self righteousness

There are about 3 billion people that would be just as shocked people got £3.99 to burn on a game

Not everyone buys cheap crap.

People also spend £5000 on tvs too.

I'm fact Manchester United players all clubbed together a few years back and spent 75k on a TV for their training ground
