That’s a great price with the £50 voucher.

HOT!
How does it compare to this tv...

Anyone know anything about these tvs? I'm so bad at technology
Is it true that these particular displays aren't actually true 4K, feel like I read that somewhere, but cant quite remember where.

Heat though! Fantastic price regardless
Ordered a Samsung UE50MU6120 last night, now i am not so sure

Yeah they fall just below 4k because of the way their screen pixels are laid out.
I doubt youll be able to notice it but you don't really get what's advertised

these are less then 3k actually, wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. You get what you pay for I guess....

If you sit 8ft or less away from a 49" TV, u won't know the difference, if further, get a bigger TV with better panel but let's face it, not enough 4k content to spend 1000's on a TV unless you spend every minute of the day watching TV. Watching EastEnders in 4k ooh can't wait!! Not

Oh, voted hot but I wouldn't buy, not because of panel but I'd rather get longer wty as these sets can be prone to issues if you're unlucky

I've got this. It's not the 4k that's the problem. It doesn't handle blacks well, watching night scenes in a movie is a real pain. Also has trouble with fast movements, goes "pixely/traily" But my biggest gripe is that it's hdmi panel has just packed in at 5 months old. Reported it on Mon to warranty team, getting picked up 1 week later, and could possibly take them 2 weeks to sort
I picked up one of these sets for £429 from Richer Sounds before Christmas and am very happy with it. Blacks aren't brilliant so if you if you want to watch films in a dark room then probably look elsewhere for a different panel but the smart functions are slick and it works well for my particular viewing habits. The sound is reasonable but it is greatly improved by a soundbar (I opted for a Yamaha yas-107). For the price asked here I'd say it's excellent value for money.

Ive got it and i dont see much diff at all in 4k on this tv compared to hd channels. But like people have said this is a great price with the £50 voucher included
For those interested you can get this TV & LG 4K player for £399 direct from Amazon. Select TV then 'add blu ray player' price stays at £399. Go to checkout page for 4K player model number. Sorry don't know how to do the link thing.
Heat
Thanks OP ordered one.

I take you you didn't read the link I posted and the other link someone else posted?

2.8k screen, the other 1k of pixels are white, they do not show the full array of colours as a normal 4k TV does.

What you've got there is the power saving mode. Get that switched off and all of a sudden the blacks are fine and so are fast movements.
Oh thanks! Will do this soon as its fixed and returned!
Has anyone received the £50 voucher yet? Is there a minimum spend on it?
Ordered. Thank OP. Will report back after del on Sat.
So far so good. Still tinkering with settings but a solid quality tv with a host of features. Was led to believe this model had Youtube app installed but not there. Surfing through EPG on Freeview and Freesat at high speed can get a bit sticky. Having exclusive Netflix and Amazon buttons on remote is handy though. Overall great value. Now looking out for voucher to drop in inbox to see what's what as no terms and conditions appear to be out there.
OOS.

5 year warranty with this TV?
