I still think WOW monthly subscription is way overpriced and the main reason I have stopped playing the game.

Bought one literally yesterday for £19.50...typical.

Still expensive I left the game in 2011
I think with the age of the game now it should be no more than £5 a month. However it’s not so this is decent compared to anywhere else.

You can now buy a game token for 30 days game time for the gold you make in game so you can play for free now and the gold is easy to farm.

Doesn't help if you want to resubscribe & don't have 270,000 gold on your account. My account is a few years inactive but I'm sure it only has 150k gold on it therefore this would be a very good deal considering base price is £9.99.
£17.99 a month or Gold equivalent - Whilst earning £60 - £100 a month from playing. Can't grumble at that!

You've missed some excellent content but also dodged a lot of trash!

Care to share your ways with a fellow player?

Pm will do

I make enough for a token every month but making more would obviously be better!
CDKeys have always been my go-to place for timecards. I stopped paying for a sub a long time ago and just get these when they drop in price as they're cheaper. Very useful if you don't have the time to farm the gold for tokens (and if anyone reckons I can gain the average 270k gold they currently cost in the hour of gametime I get a day as well as play the game doing what I actually want to do, I'm all ears )
The good old days when I use to sell a stack of linen for 1 gold.
Use to use a lvl 20 rogue in the old mines solo or take a group of low levels for 10 gold each, us to take about 15 minutes.
Haven't played in about 10 years now lol

Pretty sure when I got my first character to level 60 I had about 50 gold at most. Completely skint from buying like 10 ranks of every skill, profession recipes & armour repairs (from wiping on trash in Scholomance & UBRS repeatedly haha). I used to play really hardcore & still had no gold haha. Buying the 1000 gold 100% speed mount was something that just seemed completely impossible. I don't play the game now but when I quit back in about 2010 it just seemed like everything was progressively getting easier & therefore felt like less of an achievement. Not sure where I am going with this lol, but yea, 270k is mind blowing compared to 10 years ago I guess!

Yeah when i played i remember saving for months to get the 10,000 gold chopper. The economy in the game must he completely different now if 270,000 is easy to come by.

Boost runs my friend. People pay 300 Euro+ for full mythic+ clears. Partake in a few of those on various alts each week. We have people booked in for the next few months.
People complain that this is overpriced? Yet they buy a £40+ game that they play for 2 months and continue to buy games in the same manner. This game has more content than you'd ever need and you pay less than a few games a year... You can also easily make 300 gold a month and get it for free if you need.

People just like to complain

Bruh it's like £160 for a full year sub, new expansion and the original game/older expacs

Not to mention a crummy microtransaction store x(

Ah yes, I'm glad 90% of the game's subscribers are now more excited about subraces and transmogrification than the actual state of PVE and PVP.

No but on a more constructive note, people have the right to complain. Just like you have the right to complain about people complaining. They're also not just complaining, but I'm sure they're voting with their wallets, after all, I'm sure it's why the subscriber count isn't the same anymore. Much more logical in my opinion than "gamers outgrowing the game", since there's always going to be able bodied teenagers with plenty of spare time to game. Just need a good game.

WoW had a lowest of 5.5 million subscribers... 5.5 million. That is its lowest. Legion had over 10 million. That is 10 million subscriptions. Even at 5.5 million, its lowest is better than any modern game could hope for. The highest it had was 12 million.

You assume a lot.

The game has always killed it. It's always made money. Even the lowest it made multi millions. This isn't including other in game buys and expansion games which sell in the millions.

I didn't say people can't complain. I sail they love to. They love to complain about the things they don't even research.
