Declare Your Allegiance

Azeroth paid a terrible price to end the apocalyptic march of the Legion's crusade—but even as the world's wounds are tended, it is the shattered trust between the Alliance and Horde that may prove the hardest to mend. In Battle for Azeroth, the fall of the Burning Legion sets off a series of disastrous incidents that reignites the conflict at the heart of the Warcraft saga. As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth's heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world's mightiest resources, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.

New Level Cap - Stop the spread of the Blood God's corruption, unearth the secrets of a lost titan vault, and much more as you quest to level 120

New Dungeons & Raids- Fight through all-new dungeons like the golden city of Atal'Dazar, and the outlaw town of Freehold!

CHARACTER BOOST - Advance a new or existing hero character to level 110 instantly, and be ready to join your new allies in battle!

Communities - Find adventurers who share common interests through in-game Communities and join cross-realm social groups

Recruit Allied Races -Explore Azeroth as one of six new playable Allied Races, including four you've encountered in your campaign against the Legion. Embark on a quest to earn their favor and unlock each race, adding their strength to your faction. Create a new character and complete the full leveling experience to earn a distinctive Heritage Armor set

Alliance Kingdom: Kul Trias - As a hero of the mighty Alliance, journey to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore. Untangle a web of betrayal and dark magic as you encounter power-hungry pirates, witches wielding death magic, mystical sea priests, and more. Explore the stony peaks of Tiragarde Sound, trek across Drustvar's high plains and red forests, and navigate the intricate inland canals of Stormsong Valley as you convince this fractured kingdom to join your cause

Horde Empire: Zandalar - Prepare the Horde for war by recruiting the ancient empire of Zandalar. In this troll-dominated territory, ancient evil waits to be unleashed on the world as you battle crazed blood-troll worshippers, gargantuan dinosaurs, and titan constructs. Discover Zuldazar, the oldest city in Azeroth; unveil the bleak swamps of Nazmir; and traverse the deadly deserts of Vol'dun

Plunder Uncharted Islands - Set sail for the previously unmapped isles of Azeroth. Battle in groups of three as you race against cunning rival intruders—or enemy players—to collect the island's resources. Constantly evolving challenges await as you traverse frozen landscapes near Northrend, open the gates of an abandoned Gilnean castle, navigate a war between elementals and more

Storm the Warfronts - Head to the frontlines and take part in a large-scale 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Build up your faction's forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to the objective, and battle the enemy commanders as they make their last stand in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles

Infuse Armor with Titanic Might - Take control of the Heart of Azeroth—a legendary neck piece entrusted to you by Magni Bronzebeard. Imbue it with Azerite, an invaluable resource that's emerged in the Legion's wake, to customize your armor with new powers and traits

Enter a World Divided - Experience the relentless conflict at the heart of the Warcraft saga. Play through six new zones filled with new World Quests, new World Bosses, new raids and more as you determine whether the Horde or Alliance will shape Azeroth's future

Question- as someone that’s never played World of Warcraft this may be a stupid question but does this include anything other than the latest DLC? Does it include the base game? And how much would I be looking to spend to get the base game and all the DLC right now in 2018?

If you buy the game itself it would include up to Warlords of Draenor I believe, meaning you'd have to get the Legion expansion then this Battle for Azeroth after that. The battlechest (base game up to Draenor) is only about a tenner most places.

If you have an account it should be at Warlords now, so just Legion and BfA when it comes out in September
I was a big fan of WOW up until around 2011, I decided to download and see how the game has held up over the years and in my opinion the graphics now look very dated, I was playing at 4k with the highest settings... It is time they released something new or at least released a HD texture pack...

Yea that is how it works, buying now is really expensive if you are not up to date. Just before full release legion should become part of base game licence though so much cheaper at £10 + BFA expansion.
If anyone has purchased this from here- Does the code come straight away or when the game is released? I know if you sign up from Blizzard it's instant but not sure if CD Keys have the codes already.

This is a good start, base game + 4 expansions for £7.99

Legion is £19.99, then just Battle for azeroth needed.

Played wow since release and still amazes me, just make sure you select a server that is active.

For the Horde!

You get code straight away, just used it and worked fine, now stuck deciding what to lvl to 110 >.<

Game looks fine and is extremely playable, the gameplay is second to non, also maybe you need to select new models on the settings.

Not sure whether to bite now, or hope it is cheaper/this price closer to release.

I don't need the 110 boost, and only allied race I am interested in is the Zandalari trolls, which don't release until after release.

I heard July / August release.
I am not sure if Legion will be included in the base game in the near future... Maybe.

But if you buy this you need to base game.

This game is amazing. It is always updated content wise and cosmetic. It's a very different game from when it first came out. They update the graphics regularly. You'll have so much content that you'll never run out if you want something to do. You also have things like Events which is Christmas, Easter and everything else we have with a few extra WoW events.

This game has saved me money. Before I played again I was buying many of the the big games, now I just want use this so I don't waste my mind on games I play for a month and then stop.

You can also play free as if you earn gold in the game you can sell it for game tokens which can then be turned into subscription time or anything else that money can buy.

true , but based on the money they rake in every month , why would they not update the graphics , a texture pack would do the trick.

They did update the graphics. But as you say, they are raking in the cash, so why spend more than they have to?

Legion & WoD regions are a graphical improvement.

If you compare older regions to newer it looks like two seperate games.

I see no point in revamping old zones, unless its involved and relevant in the newer expansion. Levelling is so fast the older content gets skipped.

Used to love this game
Hmmm.. I dunno. I got the last few for around £22 from the same site. Maybe times have changed, but £30 seems like quite a lot for an early pre-order.
This is currently available at Tesco Direct for £30 if it helps anyone. You can also use clubcard points.

The graphics have been updated multiple times since 2011, so it must be your memory that's faulty. Chief among those updates was the new character models, introduced during Warlord of Draenor.

33375492-iWTXx.jpg
There have also been many other smaller updates, adding a whole new lighting engine, better ambient occlusion, higher resolution shadows, updated visual effects and completely overhauled class-based animations, along with the draw distance being drastically increased. The quality of textures is also markedly higher on assets from the past few expansions.

Does it look like a brand new AAA game? Of course not. But it's ridiculous to expect it to when it's built on an ancient engine. Saying they haven't changed anything is a nonsense though. The game looks infinitely better than it did in 2011, let alone at launch.

Obviously you have not played it. They have updated it many many times. You are stating they should do something they have already done and continue to do

The boost to 110 in game is £50 iirc.

I don't think you'll have to wait if you buy that version from Tesco - it says you can collect it from the store next day. Blizzard also did something like this for Legion, where you could purchase a physical box before the expansion was released and it contained a serial key you could redeem.

Here's the thread I posted for Legion's release with the physical pre-purchase edition:

I think they don't want to lose the players that have turd PCs, however I agree I think there should be a texture pack at the very least.

They have done some tweaks here and there which has made it look much better than OG, but that's to be expected I suppose.

But give those of us with good gaming rigs an option to bump the graphics up a bit more you know? It's not as if they couldn't release the option for this.
They have the money and staff, It wouldn't take away from the gameplay, not too much to ask for after many years of loyalty is it?

Well I am running a gtx 1080ti , I have everything set to the highest graphical settings....if there is a high def pack to download that is in addition to the main program , then I must be missing that , because the trees , land etc , look terrible.

And where did I say they had not made any changes since 2011 ?!?!?

Totally , the landscapes , buildings , trees , look awful by modern gaming standards , how do they expect to keep players playing , I was instantly put off once the game loaded up , the graphics are in dire need of a update , the game play mechanics are still good , but time for a make over....

Supposedly this is the newly released 'Pre-purchase copy' as per the image on the Tesco site, which is different to the standard retail edition. They have done this before with previous WoW expansions, which allows you to get a code early to access the stuff that is available before the expansion is live.

What you should be able to collect is a box with a key inside, that you can use now to get your 110 boost. have access early to the new races, and then the actual expansion content on release day. I would check again with Tesco, in my experience it wouldn't be the first time they are pretty clueless about what they are selling, especially as its a newly added item.

Basically CDKeys have the same items, just that they scan the code inside the box and email it to you.

You don't receive a key via email - you collect a physical box and inside that box there should be a serial key, assuming it's the same as the Legion version I linked.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see Puppeh had also responded.
