tempted to get this played at a long time ago and really did not enjoy it, but heard its improved a lot and comminty is a lot better now, but also got guild wars 2 preordered for next week. but seems a very good deal so have some heat.

wonder if the release of guild wars 2 next week, is the reason for sale?

More likely it's to get more players in for the new expansion.

4+4+8+30 (MoP retail) + a months sub at 9 quid = £54. Oh, and then 9 quid for ever after.

Why would anyone buy this over Guild Wars 2!

Blizzard are doing everything in their power to stop the GW2 rush, the MoP and diablo 3 patches both drop next tuesday so id say its a resounding yes to stopping people playing guildwars however still not a bad deal OP

Anyone needs a scroll of ressurection just pm me your battlenet email and I will throw one over

Sure...but theyre essentially very similar experiences. Except that one screws you for cash with a 6 (7?) year old game, and one is brand new and cheap in comparison.
If the choice was made years ago, fine. But why would a new player join WoW now over GW2? I ask this because clearly this deal is targetting new blood.

£16 is a bargain. Great game will be even better when MoP hits.

WoW hasn't only stayed alive that long, retained one of the most played PC games in History and is still probably the most popular MMO of all time for no reason! It's obviously a fantastic game and the years older it get's the more fixes and content updates Blizz can release. It's no wonder the countless MMO's that have tried to overthrow WoW have all failed!

It used to be good sure. Now its a shell of a game.

Cheaper to pick up Cataclysm from Amazon

amazon.co.uk/Wor…8-1

But yeah, a good deal, I JUST bought all expansions for my GF last week >.

in your opinion.
And that's the end of that debate. I have GW2 pre-ordered and I'm very excited for it, but WoW is rather different already has a massive thriving community of players and a tonne of content already in place for new players to experience. There are many reasons why someone might choose WoW over GW2 and vice versa but this isn't the place to discuss them.

bare in mind that GW2 will turn into a spamfest in a years time. just like the first did...
