Thought this was a good deal for the expansion pack considering Blizzards £8 deal has gone now.

Worth noting that the WoW Battlechest is still only £7, credit to YoshimiMac

I've been a gamer all my life, and recently took the plunge with WoW last week with some time off work. Sweet jesus I'm already buying this in anticipation of reaching the level cap. Never played anything quite like it......
It's going to be socially nonexistent this Xmas for me and I don't even care. This is also much cheaper than crack with the same effects.
Enjoy!

having to buy the game then having to pay a monthly charge is not a deal for me. even if the game was free, a monthly charge to play the thing, is, ludicrous.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure people put deals on this website to allow them to be judged for the standalone product being displayed. Not for 'people' to generalise and pass comment on how the developers charge subscribers to use it. Maybe, just maybe...

Thanks for the credit! I've noticed Amazon have now price matched Tesco, so you might want to order from them. Tesco only dispatched my copy today (I'd ordered on Sunday). Not sure if Amazon will be any quicker.

I'm addicted too, and am nearing level 20. I'm going to buy a copy of the original WoW after work tonight from GAME, as I think there's level 20 cap on the trial accounts, and my Tesco copy won't be here on time. (Will try selling the spare key once it arrives).

I'm so tempted to buy the Cataclysm collectors edition while it's still available, even though it's probably going to be years before I can play that content!

Damn my OCD personality!

It's £9.99 in my local game when I picked up my 2 copies of cataclysm, £10 is now the RRP, but have some heat!

Olza

Its still relevant though, it might be £10 to buy but its also around £10 a month to play the darn thing. Some people may not know this and just buy the game thinking its 'only a tenner'

Its not £10 in my local game or gamestation its £12.50 and its £15 at hmv.
so not sure that £10 is the rrp at all

is this instore at tesco to as this seems like a good deal

Blizzard were doing a bundle deal for vanilla + TBC + WOTLK on electronic purchase recently, whether its still available I am not sure. Worth looking into if you are thinking of starting up an account. £9/month is barely noticable, regular patch updates, content, armor sets and stable servers is better than £40 for a game with limited gameplay time.
Saying that £9 is probably more to people than it is to me.

why buy bother with cd+box and wait for delivery go digital download for complete box set+cataclysm £30 it mite be £10 a month for subs but works out alot cheaper if pay 6 or 12 months ahead or if your lazy buy an account+subs iam pretty sure someone got bored with it on e-bay

If someone is buying this and isn't aware of the sub, they have bigger problems afoot, mainly that this is an expansion which begins at level 70.

Olza; Take this from someone who knows, its going to be a socially non-existant year, not xmas

yeh u pay a sub every month, but its only 9 quid x 12 for a year = £108. that will give u hours of continus play time and constant new content with loads of things to do. How many xbox games you goina buy yourself in a year that you will get as much use out of? 3? 4 tops?.
Great deal mate, heat added

It doesn't sound like people know what is required to play this game in here.

The original WoW is required first allowing you to level to 60. The Burning Crusade is required to go to 70, Wrath of the Litch King to get to 80 and finally Cataclysm to get to 85.

You can't jump games and need all of the previous games/expansions to use the content from this. So you need WoW and Burning Crusade first before you can use the content in this expansion.

Saying all that, the game is excellent and there is so much to do in even the original before buying the expansions. My girlfriend and I are playing it at the moment and she's loving it.
