they are quite good tho, despite bein a cheapo one

Asda one will br better, becauseo f 1 year warranty

Used one of these for a few years as an alarm clock of sorts. It's actually a pretty decent box. Software is quite reliable.

This will have a 1 year warranty too. UK law.

I got one of these about 3 months back, good little box with some games hidden away in the menu. Worth a tenner. Hot. Gives good info on signal strenght/quality also.

2 year EU law actually.

For it to be relevant in the UK though as law, that requires the UK government to implement it - which I'm not sure they've done. At the moment I think it is just an EU Directive. Also, it's not a 2 year warranty either as it's not "offered" by the retailer/manufacturer.

Anyway, if you want to get technical, you can take a legal claim for 5-6 years depending where in the UK you are

Given it is a £10 freeview box though, I'm not entirely sure the relevance of any of this - pursuing any issue after one year would waste more time than it's worth.
