Grateful thanks to Ultimate 111 for the tip off on this terrific deal. I posted earlier at Argos with £40 off but this is another £15 lower still!

I have a number of WORX and Guild workshop and garden tools and they perform very well. With interchangeable batteries (between both brands and others too) it's easy to have charged ones at the ready.

I've been looking out for a 'bare' (no battery or charger) hedge trimmer so I don't have to get out an extension lead to trim a long hedge and also to avoid the risk of cutting the mains cable (already nicked current one slightly ). It seems that the WORX garden range aren't sold 'bare' and the full set was around £120 everywhere I'd looked. Argos have just reduced it to £79.99 (a genuine £40 reduction, now matched by Amazon). However, Ultimate 111 sent a link to Toolstation at just £64.99!

PLUS: unused battery + charger sets are £50+ (B&Q) and seem to resell for around £40 so the net cost for mine 'bare' could be about £25, which is fantastic, but the whole kit for £64.99 is really good too.

PS message me if you need a battery (2Ah) + charger for WORX/Guild/Erbauer, etc. - happy to sell ahead of advertising them and I'll pass on my saving.

This bargain battery is compatible too if you want a second one so you can keep working longer:

I assume this was during their clearance? Homebase appear to have stopped selling WORX so the deals on that brand were great - mostly gone by new year though. I got the grass trimmer for £30 (and some other good WORX deals) but no sign of the hedge trimmer locally.

Thanks. Bought.
Been watching these for over a year on eBay and the cheapest I've seen is a bare (refurbished) unit for £45
Thanks Besford & Ultimate111. Just ordered for collection.
Thanks OP, bought it, been waiting for a while for this sort of price. Hopefully with the 4ah batteries i got with my drill i'll be able to do the whole hedge.
Ordered, thanks!
Just collected mine from Toolstation (and returned one to Argos). Amazing price, little more than half what it's been on sale for in most places and also little more than the price of a battery and charger kit alone (albeit that's with a faster charger, though slow charging extends the life of batteries so not a bad thing).

Just need some gardening weather now!

Had the chance to use mine now. Obviously lacks the power of a mains one but it does the job which is all that matters. Still 18 left in stock at toolstation!
Homebase have had a Worx store lottery for nearly 2 years now, some store on sale some stores on clearance, prices going back up then down on a store by store basis, still had some Worx stuff in ours a couple of weekends ago.
