Brilliant deal thanks OP. Been looking at the various hydroshot models and this is the best version with thebattery alone going for around £60
Do they do a full kit version of the 630?
Does anyone know what kind of power this has compared to a karcher 2 ?

I wanna be able to blast the brick paving on my drive which is currently very mucky

After reading some comments it seems like it may be good enough to clean a car but no chance on patio

If it's very mucky then I don't think this is the tool for you, it may give it a spruce up but won't do the same as a mains powered

Don't believe amazon do, or at least not at the moment

Its a big discount. Reviews still sketchy on these things. I wonder if they have dropped the price bescause they are going to bring the 644 twin battery version over from the states, or a new model altogether.

I had a look at the reviews on amazon and almost all of them were for the 629 brushed version. Painful having multiple models listed like this as all the reviews are for various options
So the 629 Pressure is
22 Bar @ High and 6.5 Bar @ Low or this 630 is 24 Bar High, 14 Bar @ Low - doesn’t seem much in it really

629 = 120 litres per hour
630 = 200 litres per hour

And the better battery and charger with this one if you're looking at the "package" value

To be honest, I'm still not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger on this, mainly because I can't be bothered to actually wash the car on a regular basis
Does anyone know how long the battery takes to charge up fully and how long it lasts? One review suggested it takes 5 hours to charge and runs for only 16 mins!

This one should charge the battery in around an hour, it has a fast charger. The review you're talking about is for the 629 model, 2ah battery and slow charger

Means you are not limited by having outside power or mains cable. Speeds things up no end.
I've got the older version of these and after using it for a few weeks I'm really happy with it. It cleans the car as good as any other pressure washer I've used. Plus it takes basically no time at all to set up. I noticed some mess on the car a few evenings ago and had it cleaned off within 10 minutes - definitely a good device.

Please could somebody recommend a compatible snow foam lance to use with this?

It can also draw from any water source with the hose, so for example, carry a 5 gallon container to wash bikes etc. before loading a car.

I wondered the same, but considered just putting the shampoo in the bucket with the water, not sure if it would work too well or not. Else a bottle around £15 ish would be needed

I've got the one Worx make themselves - really good for the price. Double check if it works with this hydroshot but I don't think there would be any issues ebay.co.uk/itm…883

The battery does take about 5 hours to charge yes. I put mine on charge the day or morning before I plan to wash the car and so it's not a big deal.

My hydroshot (the previous model to this) has enough charge for me to wash the alloys, then rinse the car twice. There's always a bit more charge in so I use it to clean the driveway afterwards until it runs out.

I went to do more with it last time I washed the car (rinse and wash wheels, rinse car, snow foam car, rinse again, and rinse one more time after using a sponge), and it ran out during the last rinse.

I have a spare battery so it wasn't an issue for me, but because I knew I had that I wasn't being careful about overusing the first battery. I think if I was more conservative it would have lasted the whole wash

One of the few (only?) WORX products which doesn't live up to expectations.

This model or the lower versions which are not brushless?
I've just pulled the trigger, will give it a try at the weekend and see if any good. If not, it goes back.
sam214217/06/2020 16:03

This model or the lower versions which are not brushless?

The brushless will probably be a bit better (longer charge life anyway) and there is also a 40v version which is likely to be more powerful but anyone thinking these things are a mains pressure washer substitute is likely to be disappointed. They probably have their place but anyone needing real pressure may find it's inadequate. I'd advise reading reviews before purchase.

Could be handy for cleaning off a mountain bike before putting in the back of the car or similar as long as you take along plenty of water?

Do not store any power washer where it can freeze in winter: virtually impossible to get all water out and freezing will wreck the device (personal experience!).

And are you happy with its performance?
Andi.Keane18/06/2020 10:53

And are you happy with its performance?

Yes but I didn’t expect power washer performance from it. I have a few Worx tools including the lawnmower so this was a good way to get another 4ah battery.

This thing is only a little more powerful than my hose. But I have a caravan. It’s perfect for cleaning that without damaging the seals and I can plug it into the tap at camp sites.
