The Fright Night Mazes are really good, unfortunately the queues are horrendous and rides are constantly breaking down, especially derren brown. I've been twice but had such bad experiences with such a poorly run park that I won't be going again even if they give me tickets for free. There are similar experiences throughout the country that are cheaper and I think just as good such as frightmare at Over in Gloucester which is where I usually go.

yes I would ask when calling up to book , I remember having a similar offer also, but I could use it as splits , singles or red and black and was given chips..but those chips could only be played by one person at a time, so if there is two or three of you they need to wait until you have cashed your chips or lost them. or stopped playing.

wballstars

Yes, id ring up if you can. Ive had a similar offer, but it was a paper voucher that you must place on one number (no colours or splits etc), so essentially a 1/36 (or whatever) chance of winning £50 (no stake returned of course). Pretty rubbish. Big difference if you can split it, as atleast your likely to pick up a fiver or somtething.

jpoolfitz

Can you put it on red/black?

m00ny

The enhanced £50 roulette bet could be where you get a free bet coupon and have to put it on a single number and if it comes in you win £50. I hope it isn't but I've seen those sort of offers in the Grosvenor before....

It's deffo not worth the full price. Suppose you could tie it in with bowling or softplay but then that just bumps up the cost. M&Ds goes over my head. I really don't understand the fuss over the place. Just cause it's the only 'theme park' in Scotland doesn't make it any good. Overpriced all year round

IgnatiusJ

It’s not in Glasgow. It’s in Strathclyde Park, near Bellshill (quite close to Hamilton and Motherwell).

Don't worry, we let people in for free, just charge them if they want to leave.

Fotune

Animal prison

whickerg

I agree, however wher do you set them free? Man needs to stop killing them first. In March this year, The last wild Northern White Rhino male died, there are 2 females left. This basically would be another great animal extinct, this and many other species, if there werent some that are basically protected by being in zoos. Zoos need to change still, there are definitely issues with roaming space, but for now they are the only way species are surviving.

SilverViking

I don't know how they rare highly when everyone says the animals seem uncomfortable. I also went and felt the same. They look miserable.

Incorrect. My XE303 received an update from ChromeOS 68 to 69 only this morning. Yes, it has passed Google's obligation to update but it ain't dead yet. [btw product was released in 2012]. While I am not going to dump mine - I wouldn't buy one at any price.

uchihasilver

Wow her have bo end of bad reviews dont think I would ever purchase anything from them

Rich44

Nevermind the argument about refurb etc but for day to day light browsing & Office type work are these any good, thinking of cheap & cheerful starter for a Y7 student got no experience of these but pruce seems right for the family (disabled parent after serious car crash so moneys tight) if not any suggestions on other chrome books cheap?

gidsterc

To be fair, the ones at £109 are 'used-like new'. But I probably would go with Amazon anyway.

plap

Cheap, but this is an outdated model which was released in 2013 so will start showing its age (performance wise), and doesn't receive updates any longer (and no security updates = a massive risk): https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6220366?hl=en Chromebook - XE303 Auto Update Expiration = Jul 2018 "When a device reaches Auto Update Expiration (AUE), it means that the product model is considered obsolete and automatic software updates from Google are no longer guaranteed." Is not listed as a Chromebook supported to run Android apps either https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps Personally I'd rather use an old WIndows laptop with Windows 10 on it which keeps receiving updates instead of an unsupported Chromebook. Still, very cheap indeed

Just a warning. Our experience the year before last at Drayton manor for Christmas was pretty awful. We had a pre-scheduled time to see ‘the big man’. There were five of us (mum, dad & three kids). We queued for over an hour in the cold and despite having arrived ten minutes before our allotted time, were pretty hacked off by the time we went in. The queue was outside and we were frozen stiff. When we got in we were rushed through. We had about a minute in the room with FC. The presents were terrible. It was all very poor. Also, many/most of the rides were shut. Not the magical time we were expecting.

aLV426

Ewwww, too soon - we haven't even had Hallowe'en yet! Thanks for sharing anyway - have some heat! (party)

BSAR101

They shut all the big rides anyway.I think in November, same as Alton towers shuts. Their sleep over has no rides. It is classed as out of season. Personally don't rate the place thomas land isnt all its cracked up to be. But they havent stopped the thrill rides just because they have added a wowcher offer lol & for a santa style sleep over its pretty cheap compared with others.

Thought the breakfast at this hotel was amazing. Heck even the porridge was best I've ever tasted.

batman1056

I am from Durham and love my "normal" accent. The hotel is very nice, 2 min walk from the main city areas. Parking is not too expensive on the road and free after 6pm. yes building works next door, but not at night and weekends - so not an issue. Some view from the hotel overlook the cathedral and castle - alt - walk out the the hotel - cross the foot bridge and walk 8 mins.

ddaann_99

Daft question but does anyone know if you can book 2 nights at this price per night?

Lardlikes

What an idiot , Accents make the area you are visiting even more enjoyable. Durham is a beautiful place and one I would have no problems visiting again .

sunshan

Durham locals have a very normal sounding accent and easy to understand unlike some other accents in the northeast. One of the Most beautiful little place in NE. Very rich in culture. It's a shame they are modernising the city

I bought the previous version of this vacuum (FD22G) from Direct Vacuums in June last year. Decent enough for the price and does the job it was intended for (quick clean up of dog hair instead of getting the corded Dyson out every day). BUT - it's now on its third battery. Don't know if this is because they're refurbed (battery and vacuum itself) or down to an inherent fault in the design/manufacture. Direct Vacuums are very helpful though, and supplied the replacement batteries free of charge every time.

Darthballs

£56.99 on Direct Vacuum (eBay) change to Australia and use the PENNY5 discount code to get £3 off they have the red and the silver one for the same price

thelatics

This 'looks' just like the equivalent Dyson, but much cheaper. Too many poor reviews on Amazon though, will give it a miss I think. 3.1* is just not worth the risk

arfawn

free delivery if you go directly to Direct Vacuums.

The Escort cosworth was definitely that king off the road back in the day,for its class anyway. Such a shame that the new generation of RS’s are a shadow of their former self.If it weren’t for stand out colours you'd be hard pressed to spot a mk3 Focus RS driving down the road as it looks so close to a normal focus and ridiculously close to an ST. IMO cars like that need to look a bit mad/like they are on steroids, hence why i still drive a Mitsubishi Evo X.

Gitfinger

Out of a long list of hot hatch cars I've had the Fiesta XR2 Mk1 is my favourite, not the fastest and not the best equipped (just a AM radio) but probably because I was driving a 998cc 1972 Mini before it!

Deedie

I still want an escort Cossie. One of these days. Still my favourite car

Biggunspaul

I had a few RS turbos back in the 90's. A couple of S1's and 3 S2's. One of the S2's had a Zetec bottom end conversion and was over 240bhp,which for the time was decent power,it certainly showed up some Cosworths :D
