Zen 1 or Zen 2 version?

Zen 1 or Zen 2 version?

It's just the Cooler? I didn't think there was multiple versions outside of the standard releases.

The Zen 2 coolers no longer have copper cores, they have been replaced with aluminium to reduce cost. Due to this they need to spin faster for the same amount of cooling.

Understood the 65w has the aluminium and the 95w CPUs ship with copper.

For example my 3600 ships with the stealth, that's a 65w CPU and has the aluminium.

The 3700x is 65w 95w but ships with the copper prism? Not sure why they decided to do that. The 2700x was 105w and shipped with the Prism.

The Prism might still be copper, I haven't used a 3700x. I know the 1600 and 2600x both ship with copper versions of the Spire where as the 3600x comes with an updated aluminium version.

I did not know that they launched an ali version of the spire.

copper or aluminium... just give up... been there, done that.. on a paper they great but in real world they fk noisy as a jet plane. try hyper 212 or add some more ££ for something decent unless you wanna wear earplugs

You have used the Prism on what CPU?

I love the look of these though. I have a 212 floating about but the RGB is done extremely well on the Prism imo.

If I bite on a prism it will be for aesthetics and not performance gains.

r2700.. I've tried Spire rgb and Prism (copper version) and both sucks in terms of performance/noise level. (both looks cool tho )

Rubbish. I hit the Wraith Spire with my 1700, that I have on 3.7Ghz all cores. While not super quiet, I’ve heard much louder coolers.
It now keeps my brothers 2600 cool, while I recycled my Noctua NDH15.

If you get an AMD processor with a cooler don’t panic it’s useable. However if you are buying a cooler anyway, then yes, buy something’s little better.

No probs. I'm not saying it's the worst one, but I can't stand anything buzzing by my ear all the time when I'm working. Ended up with Mugen 5 and you can't hear if the bloody thing is on or not.

If you're after something silent and cheap then get a Snowman from Aliexpress for about £15. Or if you're after something better (but expensive) then I would go for a Dark Rock Pro 4.

Either way I think for £20 this is a nice deal, it provides decent cooling and looks good.
