This film id say is around a bit better than average for 3D. I just have it already as i have the previous clash of the titans (stay well away from the 3D version of it) and the original

As for recommending some great 3D

The David Attenborough box set is probably one of the best 3D I've ever seen, especially with the excellent picture

Rise of the guardians is excellent throughout for 3D and a great film

How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2 are 2 more great films for 3D. As a rule of thumb expect animated films to have good 3D

And though the films arent amazing

The Fright Night remake, Hansel and Gretel and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter are all great to show off 3D

How to train your dragon are great films!

Best film I've seen for 3d would be legend of the guardians. Sure it's about Owls, but the 3d is so good.

Yeah thats a really good one to from what I've seen. Ive seen the bluray which is a great picture, and seeing that there was several scenes i knew would look great in 3D. Ive picked up the 3D version since then, but not got round to watching it, like most things i get hah

I highly recommend it, the scene when they're flying through the storm is phenomenal for 3D effects.

In my experience only CGI films seem to truly be worth watching in 3D, might just be my opinion though.

wow thanks for all the input guys, I really appreciate it and wasn't expecting it!

I bought Hugo 3D yesterday from CeX for £4 as I've heard its a really good example of a 3D BR, the girlfriend and I are due to watch it tomorrow.

Glad to hear How to train your dragon 1 & 2 are good ones too as I want to watch them anyway and she'll be very up for that.

Any more suggestions will be greatly welcomed, am definitely more interested in ones that are good films too as I'm not the type to fill my collection with films I don't rate just for the sake of decent 3D or picture quality.

The 3D version of Lion King and Beauty & The Beast is well worth it, if its to your liking Titanic is also a must have in 3D likewise with Avatar. May work out cheaper for you to get the double pack for the latter 2.

Couple of others id recommend.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 and 2, Pacific Rim and Gravity

No idea of its any good in 3D but if I ever get a 3D TV my first purchase will be Predator.

Its pretty good. Im a big Arnie fan anyway so getting it was a no brainer for me. Some of the jungle shots look really nice. but a problem 3D has is it pretty much dissappears in night scenes ( the latest planet of the apes has this problem). So the predator vs arnie scene doesn't have to much going for it. Its still a good quality picture though

Journey to the center of the Earth the real 3d one is the best 3d I have ever seen its like a theme park ride one I would recommend for 3d pop out

Yeah the 3D is really good in that. The sequel is good to. With the first one though you just gotta make sure you get the newer digital 3D version and not the paper glasses 3D version.

Wasted watching a bluray and the whole screen is blue from the glasses!

The finale of this film was shot in South Wales - I should know as I was an extra - if you pause the film just right you can clearly see my elbow (I was one of the "soldiers" in the final battle scenes). If anyone wants to post me their DVD/BR I will happily sign it. For £50.
