The PC version has 81 on Metacritic and 80 on Opencritic. Hopefully they'll do the port justice.

. Searching on this phone is a PITA .
I wonder if it's been delayed as Amazon showing 31st December as release date for the standard version and August for the deluxe edition?
Absolutely amazing game

The official website shows the August release date:

Amazon's one is most likely a placeholder.

OK thanks.
I've been waiting for a release date on this!

When I saw it come up at GAME for £35 you just knew it'd be at least £5 less elsewhere, or should I say EVERYWHERE else.

I'm sorry but you have to be a complete mug to get anything (besides a console deal) from those thieves.
FINALLY. Wonder if it will have some kind of mod/custom tracks support. The pc stuff is mental.

Down to 26.85 for the PS4 version on base.com
Been playing this since it was called “next car game”. Great game!

XBox One too. Just ordered and I'll see which ends up cheaper between Base and TGC

I think the rrp is a bit high! £54.99! Yeah right...
Hopefully get to do my usual trick of buying disc version, waiting for PSN sale, sell disc to Cex and get the download version for no extra cost. Yes I know I'm lazy not wanting to change discs!

Sometimes I do wonder whether there's people out there who make a living out of profiting from selling newly released games to Cex. Probably a little unrealistic due to the small margins but I remember I bought No Man's Sky a few years back for £35 online and sold it to Cex for £38 (cash) 3-4 days after, before it's value plummeted of course!
Very surprised this isn't a full price release. It was £49.99 on Amazon not long ago.

I always wonder if CEX have eBay bots and get some of their stock from there. Rarely see anything sell for less than what CEX pay for store credit

Yeah not really profiting in my case, just moving to convenience for any game I keep for a long time. But I know what you mean.
Does this play like a simulator - with realistic handling or more exaggerated arcade-style?

Videos I’ve checked seem to indicate it’s a bit like a simulator which isn’t to my tastes...

The strange thing about Game is that their online prices are just as high as their store prices.

I know Game are more expensive but I try to buy from them wherever possible. People need to recognise its pretty much the last dedicated game retailer on the high street with overheads online retailers dont have. If people hate game prices from them now they are going to be in for a big shock if and when physical disappears (particularly with the arrival of next gen consoles that wont support physical) and are left with digital prices imposed on us by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

I don't think them being the last highstreet dedicated game retailer matters that much. Base, Shopto etc. also sell physical and compete with each other. Argos aren't even a dedicated highstreet games retailer and yet you can still often find games cheaper there than at Game.
If Game have to charge considerably more for the same product to survive then I don't think they deserve to stay in business.

Nah physical. 365 games seem to have the current cheapest pre-order price at £29, though it's been as low as £25 at base before.
