Sumo Traditional Wrecking Bar 36" 43826 £5.25

Yep. Got one.

Huge crowbar.

Essential man toy!

Nearly as much fun as my 10" Angle grinder.

Also a sledge hammer or axe for £12.99. I have an old shed to knock down and just going at it with a range of such tools sounds appealing

And a chain saw, a psychos dream!

Joking aside, keep a few other less-lethal DIY (for want of a better expression) things under the bed - it helps with the defense case if you end up somehow using it as a weapon in the event of a house-intrusion. Like, if you have a baseball bat then have a few baseballs too, otherwise it's just a weapon.

But tennis balls or golf balls will also do surely. There is no law that you have to use baseballs with a base ball bat?

What? You're allowed to keep as many crowbars in as many strategic places as you like at home. Have a few kitchen knives scattered about the place while you're at it.

A crowbar's only an offensive weapon if you take it outside your home without having a lawful excuse for it (e.g. being a builder). The defence case if you're prosecuted for harming a burglar rests on the reasonableness of the force you used.

They should hand out knighthoods to everyone who slaughters a burglar. Much cheaper than allowing them to carry on being a nuisance or keeping them in prison.

Since there is no second amendment here a girl's gotta protect herself somehow.

The problem with defence cases is that the home owner gets in that position in the first place by calling the police.
If you crack the burglar's head open with a crow bar and then call the coppers, you are gonna get into so much trouble and probably end up with a criminal record.
Once you get the nice fella who was so brave to enter your house, chop it in manageable pieces, boil it, take what is left in the woods and let wild animals deal with the rest (I bet it will all be gone in a day or two). oO
No body, no crime, and I suspect the burglars don't tell their wives what property are going to rob on the day, so nobody will look for them in your house.
Or... just let them rob you and make them a cuppa, then call the coppers.
I have a sign at the door: "If you enter uninvited, please leave your human rights outside"

If people are after more than one there was a 5 piece set posted available at screwfix for £7.45

Set does not include a 36" bar.
