If they are the same as the ones that were being sold a few years ago they are rubbish, they were linked up to a £30 handheld game from what i remember, look at getting a mame cab instead.

Handheld with 20 classics, £29. -No ASSEMBLY, Just Plug and Play....(_;)

Why the cold votes? this is what makes dreams come true for kids.

Novelty, an expensive one too.

It's a joke post, surely?

costs around 150 quid to build this POS

never would i pay over 1K for my xmas let alone on one item!!! cold

Stupid amount of money

WOW Cracking price what a deal just reserved 10 at argos burton on trent and you get 50p cash back for reservation via topcashback, keeping one and the other 9 are going on e bay

Looked into building one of these a few years ago but hadn't got the time for the project but this seems a right royal rip off... save your money and buy elsewhere or like the other poster said get hold of a xbox / ps3 a decent flat screen and a lot of games..... Nice idea to have in a games room though if you can find a Mame cabinet built with a decent screen etc

get a console and save £800+

Wow. Imagine this beauty set up in the living room

yeah you would be the talk of the council estate, until you decided you didn't want it and sold it for £20! lmao

I give you £2000 each and my wife!

Just curious as to WTF means in the title! Can't believe it doesn't give you a list of the games.

It means "Why The F*ck", as in WTF would you buy this...

Whilst this sets off my geekdar, you'd have to be nuts to spend that kind of money on something you could build yourself for a few hundred quid tops (now that really sets off my geekdar).

Retro is cool, if only it had a retro pricetag.

Changed my mind, worth it for ASO alone..

I have an arcade machine it cost me £20

bought one of these 6 months ago
now all the ladys come round for a play with me.

ive got the original street fighter one and 2 others, classic machines and will be sellign them on ebay shortly.

this one from argos is soooo not worth it

This console hardware is an older version ot the NES Megajoy, which can be picked up for approx £3-5 on market stalls, connected to two cheap arcade sticks.

The screen is maybe 14"(?) and the cabinet is really tiny just standard chip board with cheapo art-work.

Argos should be ashamed selling such tat!

As a mass produced item, these should be sold for £99 as a novelty item. Even that wouldn't be worth the purchase price.

No Lunar Lander?

Don't forget, you can buy this item with your Argos credit card at just 29.9% APR - Everyones a winner!!!!;)

i made a mame cab 6 years ago, bought a double dragon cab off ebay for £110, sold the insides for £80, used an old PC inside and bought an ipac for ultimarc. It cost a fraction of this!

Great for parties and the old games are still classics, would happilly give up my PS3 over my arcade machine!
