Boomerang Rentals is cheaper at 7.99 a month for two games. I recommend it. PM me for an invite.

Isn't this just as bad as piracy?

I'm pretty sure in all games T+C's that they state that along with unauthorised duplication, that rental is also prohibited.

Similar kind of problem for the publishers, One game sold, played by many - not their intention.

i always thought that games along with DVDs had a rental version made and labels to match ?. not rented out a game for ages now though so not 100% sure.

even so, far better net rental deals to go for like lovefilm and blockbuster to name a few.

lovefilm rent out thousands of games a week, games companies don't seem to mind

I used swapgame a couple of years ago and they were pretty awful, 2 games went 'missing' in the post which they then decided to charge me for - coincidentally this only happened after I'd decided to cancel with them as I was sick of them sending me games at the bottom of my request queue. I had postal receipts of both missing games (I would not recommend simply popping the games in the provided envelope and putting them in a postbox because you absolutely are NOT covered if they go missing), but swapgame told me I would have to chase it up with royal mail (which I did and RM gave me my money back - if I hadn't had those receipts I would have got nothing). I'd never recommend the company to anyone just because of their attitude.

I switched to gamesmonster.co.uk who were far better, and they charge 8.99 a month for one game at a time (unlimited) although they only provide wii, 360 and ps3 games - they're not accepting new signups now though, probably not a good sign.

I'm not sure how this is as bad as piracy, Blockbuster have been offering games for rental for years so I can't see it being illegal.
