If you like Wychwood´s Hobgoblin Ale you should like this, tastes a little similar and is abv 4.2%.

Found it in Aldi Horwich in a big display box, not on the shelf. It should be nationwide.

LABEL READS:
"This rich, ruby ale is brewed with pumpkin & mace to add a gently warming seasonal spicyness. Hints of toffee & a luscious depth of dried fruit & caramel are perfectly balanced by complex hop flavours. It´s the perfect Halloween treat."

Been looking for this since last week when it was advertised to be available in my local aldo, no luck to daye, nothing found, very dissapointed so far not to find it, it was in their magazine but didn't materialize, the local staff just shrugged!
Aye they were a week late getting it at our local too
Stocked up a little tho
Got 2 bottles from my local aldi today, also my wife got me a bottle last week when the offer started.
It wasn't with the rest of the alcohol it was on its own cardboard display on a pallet about chest high right next to the entrance and to be honest I only found it once I was going to check out until then I had 2 bottles of hobgoblin instead lol.
Wish they had King Goblin at 99p
Wychcraft

Wish they had King Goblin at 99p

Dont we all

think the cheapest ye'll get it is 4 for £6 at tescos mate
My usual buy in there along with old craft hen, single bottles are like £3.90 lol
But how does it taste? Anyone who's tried it wish to educate? Can you at least taste a hint of pumpkin or is just a marketing gimmick?
Lildl are doing Wytchcraft and Goliath 8 for £8 if that is any use.
They had the cardboard display in our local aldi last week and I bought one bottle and then it disappeared this week and then when my girlfriend went in there yesterday they had put it up again facing the entrance so she picked up a couple of bottles for me.

It's nice but doesn't particularly taste of pumpkin.
Had one last night, nice but no hint of pumpkin (not a bad thing IMO)

It's a marketing thing for sure, the closest you will get to pumpkin flavour with this ale is by imagining it based on the bottle label.
it all depends on how refined your taste palette is, also drinking at the correct temperature helps as well.

for starters real ales should be tasted/drunk at close to room temp (12.5 degrees C) and not chugged from the fridge its only then you can do an accurate taste test.

as to can you taste the pumpkin well yes you can but its only subtle as back note in the taste. its not a strong defined taste but its there in the after taste.

sure the whole pumpkin ale thing is a gimmick for marketing here in the UK especially for wychwood as it gives them another great opportunity to create another great seasonal beer but even if the pumpkin taste is subtle pumpking is still a great tasting beer.
