Great stuff thanx, I have just reserved mine to pick up later:thumbsup:

Love it! "Ideal on your own" Lol. I am a big doley and I've had Eric Clapton's greatest hits blaring this morning and I'm singing my heart out! Good to see that the powers that be think this is good for you as well

Anyone know if these are any good? Thanx :-)

Had to laugh at this. Looked at this deal at lunchtime today, passed a comment to a colleague that went around the office. The result: 41 out of 41 has never heard of one! Good deal? dunno!!:p

they have stock of these at : burgess hill
croydon purley way
brighton carden avenue

Gloucester had one so have bought it...has patent pending on it because it records what you are singing, whilst showing the lyrics to songs downloaded and seems great...ideal xmas prezzy.... and let's face it... X factor will still be on at the end of the year so will be topical for 2008!

Does it dispaly the lyrics to songs downloaded from specific websites only, or will this work with mp3's ripped from a cd?
What size memory card is included? - and what size memory is on the player?

I can't conclusively say but think it comes with 512MB internal memory.

Just reserved this for my neice for her 11th birthday in May...she is delighted as her Mum wouldnt get her one at Christmas as they were a tad overpriced

:thumbsup:reserved one in coatbridge for daughters birthday nice find:-D

The tranny in the photo looks very happy with it.

Just reserved one (Plymouth) for my daughters birthday in Feb. She will be 9 and loves the sound of her own voice, so this will be right up her street!

The tranny in the photo looks very happy with it.

Lmao! U r soooo naughty! :w00t:

Picked up mine today and have been messing with it for a few hours.
The features of the machine are quite nifty - i.e. mp3 player/portable karaoke machine plus option to use expandable memory (SD card). However it does take quite a long time to set up as if you want lyrics to the songs you put on then you have to enter them yourself.
It comes with some software and you enter the lyrics line by line whilst playing the mp3 tracks. I have got 3 songs on mine so far and it took a bit of time. Quite pelased with the result but if anyone is looking for an easy to use gift for a child then prepare to put in quite a bit of time helping them set it up.
I wouldn't have been happy paying 80 pounds for it but at 20 pounds I'm not complaining - will keep me entertained for a few hours!
Also, worth mentioning that the usual 30 days return policy doesnt apply to this item - you can only return if faulty.
Hope that helps someone!

@snakebite: how big is the memory on this?

J9STL - The internal memory is 512MB but you can put in an SD card to expand that memory. So far I have 7 songs on mine and its used about 50MB. Hope that helps.

Any more customer feedback?

Waste of 20 notes or worth a go ?

Just to add to Snakebite's comments.

As well as the mentioned lyrics situation if you want to record your "singing voice" you nee to insert a SD or MMC card. The songs you want to sing along to must be placed on the 512mb internal memory and your voice record onto the SD card.

One more tip to save time, if you look around on the net you can find the lrc files for songs, save the file with the same name as the mp3 but .lrc extension (01 - Bleeding Love.mp3 and 01 - Bleeding Love.lrc) and it will save your typing in lyrics.

The Lyric information in a lrc file looks like this:-
[00:00.54]Bleeding Love
[00:03.61]Leona Lewis :Spirit
[00:06.45]
[00:09.52]- Music -
[00:16.47]Closed off from love
[00:21.32]I didn’t need the pain
[00:23.62]Once or twice was enough
[00:25.91]And it was all in vain
[00:28.20]Time starts to pass
[00:30.74]Before you know it you’re frozen
[00:33.21]

Hope this helps someone.

I don't care what you say, Im in love with you

And in stock in a number of stores I tried. Would probably make a good gift. Think I might give it a miss though as looks very complicated but will keep an eye on it to see if it manages to go down in price any more!

Thanks for the price update lucki ! I changed the op now, to reflect the lower price

Just found an easier way to get the lyrics on the I-Sing. Find and download MINILYRICS software (its free). Then when you open windows media player it automatically searchs for the lyrics files (lrc) and will start when the song starts. Click on the top left corner of the MINILYRICS box (on the black line at the top) while it is running the song click on Lyrics in the drop down box -then save lyrics in mp3 file and choose Embedded sychronised lyrics (top option) just tick the box then okay. This saves the lyrics into the song in Windows media player. Connect the i-sing via usb then go to sync in windows media player and drag the song you have saved your lyrics into and then sync. Job done. This sounds difficult but it is really easy (took me hours to figure this out)

Make sure you have the latest media player. Also it sometimes won't let you save lyrics in some songs (protected) if so try copying your original disc and the try to save lyrics in the copied songs.

Hope this helps

cheers for the pointer mimibabe - going to try this with my nano & see if it works - site suggests it does
