It's not the best X-Men film but I bet it looks fantastic in 4K so might just but to see.

I would argue that it's the worst X-Men film out of the new lot. Even Dark Phoenix was a considerable improvement.

And to think that the relaunch started out so strong with First Class...

That’s because Matt Vaughn (Layer Cake, Kick Ass, Kingsman) did the brilliant First Class, then bloody Singer came back for the rest to eff it all up again. Vaughn shoulda stayed on board.

MCU / Disney should get Matt Vaughn, Sam Raimi, and Chris Nolan on board. As well as the Russo brothers.

But then again, those directors have been known to make movies that are deeper and less superficial. And MCU movies have been known to be lighter and more comedic in tone.

Probably explains why Disney got rid of of Edward Norton as he wanted the Hulk movies to be more darker where he was more of a sympathetic anti-hero (with a deeper back-story).

I don't really like Disney MCU movies. They're entertaining, but ultimately forgettable.

Warner and Fox movies may be hit and miss... But when they get it right, we end up getting stone cold classics.

£1.50 up to £50 was bad enough, but £1.95 up to £100 is criminal! I used to order so much from CEX, I think I've only used them 3 times since the delivery charges came in.

I nearly ordered some blu-rays from there earlier until I discovered they wanted to put £1.95 on every single disc.

5 times in 4 years.

In comparison... 85 times in 4 years from Music Magpie.

Oh, yep, been ordering from them for years. Always had a great experience with MM, even though their website is a pain for tracking down 4Ks. Thought I'd give CEX a go today as they had the film I wanted, but quickly decided against that!

I understand that CEX are popular. But that is one company that I never use. I don't walk into their shops. And I don't visit their website.

I like MM... They're a solid retailer and come highly recommended.

I mainly use MM for CDs and movies (BR and DVD).

Games... I buy brand new. So MM never gets a look in.

I have to disagree about Dark Phoenix. It was the dullest and 'acted by numbers' of them all. I swear half of them were sleep deprived. Im not even going to buy it to make the collection complete.

Seen them all at the cinema and Phoenix was the worst by a long shot - but Apocalypse was second worst.
