Best price I can see on this title, the cheapest i've seen the DVD for £6.99 so less than a pound more for the Blueray has to be a good deal.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Wolverine, fan favourite of the X-Men universe in both comic books and film, gets his own movie with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a tale that reaches way, way back into the hairy mutant's story. Somewhere in the wilds of northwest Canada in the early 1800s, two boys grow up amid violence: half-brothers with very special powers. Eventually they will become the near-indestructible warriors (and victims of a super-secret government program) known as Wolverine and Sabretooth, played respectively by Hugh Jackman (returning to his role) and Liev Schreiber (new to the scene). It helps enormously to have Schreiber, an actor of brawny skills, as the showiest villain; the guy can put genuine menace into a vocal inflection or a shift of the eyes. Danny Huston is the sinister government operative whose experiments keep pulling Wolverine back in, Lynn Collins is the woman who shares a peaceful Canadian co-existence with our hero when he tries to drop out of the program, and Ryan Reynolds adds needed humour, at least for a while.

Be careful though, the image on the site shows the triple play version when it is the 1 disc version apparently (according to the comments)

Are there 2 disc Blurays? I thought with the extra capacity, bluraus could fit everything on the one disc.

It does although why you need a DVD as well if you've got a Blu-Ray player escapes me! You have to download the digital copy using a code supplied.

yes mate, its region free.

Good price, you might get some cold voters though as this was £4.98 on Shopto before Xmas!

However, I warn people. Blu Ray doesn't do this film any favours, with the picture quality being generally good in some instances (bathroom mirror scene/helicopter scene in woods) the graphics are so bad. As in, worst than films made in the 90's bad!

Decent film though, better than I expected

Seems the best price out there. Heat from me

this is the single disk version, I bought one last time it was on offer

Got it for £5.85 when it was on offer, the batman one sometimes go down aswell.

Why these are cheap at times is because it looks like that they come from the ps3 boxes

Awful, awful movie.

Plenty of 2 disc Blu-Rays.
They usually (hopefully) do this so that they have more space on the 1st disc for a good transfer of the film. If they try to cram the special features onto the same disc, then the film wouldn't have as good a transfer

eg Transformers 2 has no special features on disc 1 & practically all of the 50GB is reserved solely for the film. It uses 44.6GB for the film & looks stunning (still a crap film though:thumbsup:) All the special features 9of which there is alot) are on a 2nd disc.

I picked this up for a fiver just before Xmas and obviously that was an amazing price. To me this is still an absolute steal for a fantastic film... Voted hot...

Great film

Terrible movie. Nonexistent storyline, bad acting, crappy effects, really isn't worth buying at any price

Crap crap film..and as the previous poster commented HD does this film no favours...."you can see the wires" as it were.

Trying to change delivery address but wont let me.

Banned

the HD video takes up a hell of a lot of memory, so if everything was put on one disc, the pic quality would suffer:thinking:

was going to get this till I read the bad reviews think I will save cash for the following xmen or ip man when it comes down in price..

I'm waiting for the qaudrligy to come down in price. Box sets are the way forward imo.

Like harry potter the new one is £11 cheapest, but for all 6 movies is £40.. bargain in my eyes but still gone to wait till al lharry potter films are out before buying.

Hot none the less, but i will wait

Except in cases like the X-Men movies where there's always a good chance of another one happening.

Boxsets are best for finished tv shows and even then they aren't guaranteed as the odd show returns for either a new series or a spin off movie etc.

Boxsets for movie franchises are a terrible way of collecting films, there's usually a decent chance of another sequel or a super special edition of one of the films in it etc.

Yes. you can get 3 disc sets but check each set as some can come in "Budget" 1 BR Disc only Wolverine for example from SHOPTo.

Also Blade Runner - 1 BR Disc + 1 DVD Disc (extra features - making of, etc, a few hours worth of bog standard normal definition).

Blockbuster usually sell me Pre-owned as minus the Digital Download Disc eg Star Trek 1 Blu-ray + 1 DVD + 1 Digital copy Disc, Watchmen 2BRs+Dig Download dis or . MI3 2 x BR discs. Worth an email or a check for a "Blu-Ray" symbol or DVD logo on the disc if open box.
