X5 Syma Drone

With the latest gyrostabilisation technology you will be whizzing in the air with the X5 Syma Drone. Perfectly suited to both indoor and outdoor flight. Featuring 4-channel movement, this drone can be flown in both the standard manner as well as in a headless mode that orients the controls to the direction the user is facing, rather than the direction of the drone. This makes it a brilliant entry level model for RC pilots who want to get the most out of the hobby.

X5 Syma Drone Extra Info:

- Gyrostabilisation technology
- 4-channel movement
- both indoor and outdoor flight

That's brilliant info...Thanks, much appreciated...I will look into the ones you suggested. I'll start with the JJRC H37...seems like a good starting price and we'll see if he gets into it. Cheers

Glad I could help - just remember the best piece of advice ever on Quadcopters - DONT FLY NEAR TREES!
Nice big open field is what is best!

It will save your wallet , your back and untold amounts of grief!
Unless of course you enjoy climbing 70 foot oak trees like I do and I am over 40!
Once you get the quad I can guarantee you will be buying one for yourself!
Best fun, exercise, fitness regime I have had in years!
Can someone recomand where i can buy some replacement batteries for this model please?

Err....got a couple of large oaks in our not-that-large garden...there may be trouble ahead....
Gearbest have the JJRC H37 via a Web browser....strangely only showing the H37 mini on my Gearbest app though. Do you think Gearbest is an OK place to get these from (I've bought from them before with no issues other than the usual wait) or would you suggest a more RC oriented seller like Hobby King or similar?

PS pushing 48 myself...
Had a little previous experience with a ESky Belt CP heli I got given...Nightmare to fly...even after hours on Phoenix RC.
I like Tomtop but to be honest I dont really see much difference between the big ones like Alibaba, Tomtop, 365digital!

Ideal if you could buy in uk that way you can return.
Lots of chinese sellers now have a base in the uk to avoid taxes etc it was on Watchdog recently or Panorama!

OK. Thanks for the response again. Looking forward to getting one of these now. Can't believe the functionality you can get for the money. Must try to remember it's the boy's and not mine.

I'm now hooked and your excellent advice is not helping unhook me
Many thanks for you advice
Managed to find one still in stock and bought it. First quick test indoors is fantastic. For this price it feels like a quality product with spare blades and you are able to order just about every other component to fix it following the inevitable crashes!! Thanks for posting
Do I need one? Nope, do I want one? Not really, was I wanting to buy one for somebody else? Nope. But still I can’t resist a bargain 🤣 🤣 HEAT given and went and got one yesterday, looks pretty good for the money, buying some higher capacity 750mah batteries for it as well for longer flying times (search battery mods for it)
