Great for dog walking in the woods.........but you have to buy the batteries and charger...but still good

I wouldn't want to use that on a bicycle as it'll blind drivers, but as a headlamp for other uses that's a nice price.

have bought xanes products this year.front and rear bike lights and they are well made products.

Batteries cost more than the item lol only joking

It has a usb cable, does that charge the 18650 batteries - meaning we wouldn't have to buy a separate charger?

Says it has a charging port so it looks like it will charge the 18650 batteries

excellent!! cheers!!

Please note lights using more than 1 x 18650 are extremely dangerous when used with unprotected batteries.

Protected batteries are a must.

In general I don't recommend 18650 flashlights to the general public. They are primarily for enthusiasts, people who own a multimeter, people who can respect the safety considerations, handle and store the cells with care etc.

Also if you're using 18650 use a standalone charger and protected cells for torches, as above they can be lethal!

I have had batteries blow up, it's not worth it. I now charge with standalone chargers on non-flammable surfaces. I have also turned the old style folding top metal tool box into a lipo safe for when charging Lipo batteries.

Never, ever trust batteries to charge un-attended!

Li-ion 18650s are a whole other ball game to the typical (eg alkaline, nimh etc) cells that most people are familiar with.

They are very energy dense, have more volatile chemistry and fail in dramatic fashion (thermal runaway, venting, exploding). There are a number of ways for bad things to happen so you need to use them with care.

Technically the individual cells are are not intended to be sold to and used by consumers, but vapers and flashlight enthusiasts have created a black market of sorts.
