It's not an ssd it's a hybrid drive. A small portion of the drive is an ssd. Think it's 32gb.
Why you didn't get one? Offer on from 9th till 17th November

Sorry mate, my bad. Just realised 9th is today
Ah missed that, even so with an elite controller this is a great deal. Tempted to buy & keep the console as a back up
You'd best buy a spare TV, Sofa and Router while you are at it.
That will be without the game though, you get the game for an extra £10 if you add it to basket with the console.
Also the special offers didn't work for me using the Argos app but did when I used Internet instead!
Procrastinating pays off!!
I don't see why they wouldn't do the bundle as you could just return it and buy the bundle anyway.
I bought one yesterday from tesco to replace my existing standard 1tb one. Changed my mind and tried to cancel, couldn't cancel and now I'm pleased as it works out very very cheap after selling my 1tb machine.
If you dont have a 4k tv then go for the elite.
Tough question as they both have benefits. If you are on a 1080P TV and plan to be keeping it for the foreseeable future I think the elite might just have it when you consider the current pricing, excellent controller and 1TB SSHD.
As I have a 4K TV I went for the One S and would say it's definitely a better fit for a 4K set, I don't regret getting it one bit, though I am still kind of tempted to buy one of these packs just for that elite controller though I think I'll wait and see if black friday brings any even better deals as I really don't have any issue with the standard Xbox One pads, in fact I find them very comfortable and I think I'd find the paddles a pain to use so I'm undecided...
Don't see the benefit in a £100 controller myself but for a way to get a cheap 1tb Console this is great.
Currys are doing the console and controller for £189 with a game.
Is the 4k thing only relevent in relation to UHD dvd playback or do games play at 4k with the xbox one s?
The only way to get true native 4K is from UHD Blurays or by watching 4K material on Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Video (though I'm not 100% sure if they have updated Amazon Video for 4K yet).
Games will be upscaled, which will not look as good as native 4K, but are said to look anywhere from a tiny bit to significantly better depending how good or bad the scaler in your TV is. I only have a very cheap 4K set (Digihome), which one would expect to have a pretty lousy scaler in it, though to be honest I don't find that games look massively better upscaled on the Xbox One S. I think there is perhaps a modest improvement, perhaps a little tiny bit less alisasing on sharp lines, if you really, really look for it.
Quite a cool feature is that the Xbox One S will also upscale anything you connect to the HDMI input. I have been trying it on a standard PS4 after seeing someone called MrUpscaler on Youtube raving about it. Again any improvement I find to be very slight IME but some people might notice it more than others….
If you pay online & have it delivered (or collect from a store) then you should be covered by the distance selling laws.
i think i heard a lady in argos today saying to another costomer
sorry, the lady in argos today saying they could honor the voucher from yesterdays spend, its worth a try?
Brilliant answer thanks for taking the time really appreciate the insight
Surely ANY 4K telly is already upscaling the picture anyway?
If they weren't then your 1080p PS4 input would just appear on a quarter of the screen...
I love my elite controller. But the new Xbox One S controllers feel very good also. I certainly wouldn't be upset "just" having the S controller. The Elite really is a luxury item, but it is truly awesome.
