It's the old 20GB bundle so the consoles will run a bit hotter and louder than the new Falcon chipset models (plus no HDMI out) but you still get the 3 year MS warranty for RROD and it's the cheapest I've seen a Premium/Pro at.

Arcade consoles (with HDMI and newer chipsets) have been on here recently for about £95 recently and I have also seen 20gb hard drives elling on here for about £25 delivered so not a great deal really.

This should have HDMI, and it is possibly also a Falcon. People forget that the 20GB models were updated right up until they were discontinued late last year.

The Premium version never shipped with HDMI - it'll be a Xenon motherboard.

It was only until the Arcade/Pro/Elite SKU was released that HDMI became standard across the board.

Also bear in mind the mfg date of these will be OLD. You'll need to contact MS directly with your proof of purchase to change this online, or your 3 year warranty for RRoD / E74 will be over before it begins.

Check the outer box and see if it says Pro or Premium.

I also have a 20gb with hdmi. With this you get a headset and YPBPR lead ,so it's better than arcade+second hand hard drive, also it will have 1 years warantee and 3 years cover from RROD on registration,HEAT added.

PRO is the American name for the Premium.

The Elites and Premiums do however say Go PRO on the box.

From July 2007 the 20gb had HDMI

From September 2007 the 20gb was Falcon.

August 2008 it was replaced with the 60gb.

I actually think this is a bit pricey for what it is - or is likely to be. For another £40 you could get a Jasper, HDMI and 60Gb hard drive.

The Core / Premium / Elite range was renamed worldwide as Arcade / Pro / Elite.

Then I stand corrected - you must have gotten one of the last HDMI Premiums (basically a Zephyr motherboard - same as the elite at the time) before the changeover.

I have a 20GB premium with HDMI and a 175W PSU - so a Falcon. The PSU that comes with this would be useful to know.

When did you purchase yours?

EDIT: check the Wiki for SKU information:

The Xbox 360 Pro[22] (sometimes referred to as Premium and packaged as … The Xbox 360 Pro[22] (sometimes referred to as Premium and packaged as simply Xbox 360 with the subheading "Go Pro") includes all the features of the Xbox 360 Arcade and includes a hybrid composite and component cable with optional optical out instead of a composite cable. This model also includes a detachable 60 GB Hard Disk Drive (previously a 20 GB HDD) to store downloaded content, provide compatibility with original Xbox games, and store game data. The included hard drive comes with game demos, video clips and a free Live Arcade game, Hexic HD. In July 2007, this version of the Xbox 360 began appearing with the Zephyr motherboard (the motherboard used in the Elite) which features HDMI 1.2 output and an improved GPU heatsink. Although this package does include an HDMI 1.2 output, it does not come with HDMI 1.2 cables.[23][24] Starting at the end of September 2007, the newest systems were shipped with the new "Falcon" motherboard. This motherboard includes the new 65-nm CPUs, making them quieter and cooler than the older systems.[25] On August 1, 2008, the 20 GB Xbox 360 was discontinued and was replaced by a 60 GB HDD model at the same price

MS messed around with the names so much it is hard to keep track.

However, the Core and the Arcade are not the same. The basic contents are the same, but to say the Arcade is a new name for Core is wrong as the Arcade has 256mb MU or onboard storage, and includes a wireless controller. It also comes with 5 Arcade games. The Core was a 360 console with a wired controller, with no games, and no storage.

I do believe that MS has dropped the Premium/Pro monaker, it is just the 360 console, the last time I saw a box for the 20/60GB it just said 360 Console. Probably a way to reduce market confusion, you ask for a 360 you get a 60GB model.

I didn't expect anyone to be splitting hairs over the wording

Yes, the Core was 'repackaged' and 're-released' as the Arcade. However, the Core was replaced by the Arcade and essentially renamed at the same time (since you couldn't purchase the Core any more.)
