awesome deal, 3 triple a games, heat and rep added

You can find the 60Gb Console with FallOut 3 for £169.99. I suppose they are chucking Gears of War (worth £8) for free. Lukewarm for me.

Fair enough. But as you say you still get gears of war for free technically. Also you dont have to go round different shops to get them.

For anyone that wants to know I think the 60Gb Console with FallOut 3 for £169.99 is at Game. They also have teh same offer but with Farcry 2 if you prefer that type of game.

Seems good defo a great price and some great games, if you think how much time and effort has gone into the 360 and those games its a giveaway.

Excellent deal! go credit crunch!

I wonder if the deals are going to get much lower than this come christmas time?

Well, you can find Gears of War 2 for £30 from a few shops as you can see from the main page news. Not saying it is a bad deal, just not that great if you know what I mean. Effectively you are getting Gears of War 1 for free, that is not bad at all.

I think that this is one of the better deals at the moment. You are getting a minimum of £75 worth of AAA games, so the console is only costing you £125. I am thinking of buying this to replace my 2 year old Premium with no HDMI. Already got GOW 1 but want to buy GOW 2 and Fallout 3 plus bigger hard drive for the new update, which would set me back £100+, so might be a good chance to upgrade. Plus if I sell my premium would not be costing me alot if anything.

its not worth it imo. the supermarket deals of a few weeks ago make me think that there will be cheaper 360s packages around before christmas

Can't fault the bundle, as you guys say, 3 awesome titles, but it'd be hotter if it were a tenner cheaper...:-)

Excellent Deal...Heat added

good deal

you're only getting Gears 1 for free - quite a good deal.

Agreed. If this was 179.99 or even 189.99 it would be flying out of the shops, as it currently stands is an OK deal (you get GoW 1 for free basically compared to other offers!)

Im looking to buy one as a present, and this has really tempted me, but I am wondering what is going to happen during the run up for christmas as the supermarkets start competing more.

The supermarkets had better show their hand pretty soon, there will be lots of missed sales if they don't.

I've already got GOW and Fallout 3, but my premium is the very first type and I'm worried it wont last much longer....

I wonder what i'd get off this deal for trading in the xbox without my harddrive (so I can keep my profile and game saves) GOW 1 and fallout 3 for a brand new premium with better chipset, HDMI and a 60gig hard drive?!

I suppose I'd better find out if its available instore first....

Just to make it clear MS have stated there will be no further price drops in the UK on 360 hardware for at least a year. Its already the cheapest hardware on the market and they are losing £50 on every console they sell already. Graphically its equal (or better for third party titles) than the ps3 but its half the price.

The deals on 360 hardware simply wont get any better than we have seen recently. The only question is will hardware supplies hold up. Probably but you never know. Huge few weeks gooing uo so we will soom find out. I think this bundle is quite good, the games are excellent and worth around £70 making the 60gb console £130.

You can transfer your profile and game saves from your old hard drive to the new one. You need a cable which apparently microsoft can give you if you phone them up.
So you could trade in the old hard drive as well for a bit of extra cash.
As for the games you should get quite a bit for them if not with trade in then on ebay.

Or you could use a 256mb memory card to transfer your game saves from the old console to the new one. I did this a couple of weeks back when I got a 60gb to replace my Core model (with 20gb drive added), as I'd read that the transfer cable only seems to work when transferring data from 20gb drives to 120gb elite drives.

Its a bit of a faff, but worth it if you don't want to have to start all of your games again...

Can also get the same deal for 199.99 from gameplay but with an extra wireless controller instead of fallout 3 so its not really worth it but if anyone is interested:

shop.gameplay.co.uk/web…ont

your getting fallout 3,gears and war and gears of war 2!

and its the limited editions

@MCH1

with that deal you only get gears 1 and 2 with this deal you get fallout 3 aswell

Original Poster

what are you on about fable 2? And what are teh limited editions? This deal?

whilst Microsoft have said no more price drops, it doesnt mean tha the big boys won't slash prices to remain competitive

in the current economic climate a lot of people will reconsider purchases as large as this, meaning that better priced bundles will appear. We have seen them already and from the experience I have had of how the big stores get treated in this sector, its bound to happen again.

I also would say that if you find an indie store with a few consoles in stock, you can negotiate a better deal than this if you buy a console with a few games and a controller, as most consumers just dont have the money at the moment

Getting seriously tempted by this. Can anybody tell me if these are 2 player games, and if this bundle is supplied with 1 or 2 controllers?

This bundle comes with 1 controller, but you can buy more for roughly 20 quid or less if you find one in currys / pc world deal.

Fallout 3 is one player, but gears of war 1 and 2 are both 2 player. (I think you can play them multiplayer and co-op).

I think this is a good deal because if you dont like the games or you finish them quickly then you can easily sell them on at roughly retail value or higher if they are in demand. Therefore you can save more on the console or get different games that you prefer.

Thanks mch1.

instore this is 189.99 for premium, Gears and Gears 2, then add £10 for Fallout 3 OR Fable 2 OR a wireless pad - so 199.99 with extra one.

I wonder if they'd do Fallout 3 and Fable 2 and a wireless pad for a discount?

Yes, go credit crunch! By.. spending more money!

I wouldn't be surprised if the best bundle deals across the big retailers and supermarkets only last from October-November, attracting the people that buy their Xmas stuff in advance rather than at the last minute.

After all, people will desperation buy for gifts they need to get people during December and let their credit card worry about the cost. The consoles would shift even at the RRP without games once we're in the middle 2 weeks of December and people are panicking a bit. Plus the release of new titles to keep bundling with consoles dries up after November's gone. Damnation and Prince of Persia are the only new Xbox releases in December before Xmas. I'd say get the bundles now and don't wait for a better offer to come along.

Has anyone bought from this company before?
I dont know them - would appreciate your help x

Not voting but don't think this a great deal by any means......recently we have seen 4 games and extra controller thrown in, granted these are good games but i believe we will see better offers before christmas......prefer to get extra controller myself....but deals are coming thick and fast on xbox consoles:thumbsup:
