I "better" deal is on Game.co.uk £159.99 with 3 games. Mass Effect 2, Prince Of Persia, Need For Speed. There is a £% off £35 spend voucher about here somewhere plus Quidco 1.5% and if you have a bonus card a further £4

Otherwise £139.99 seems to be the better deal for the console only. Argos have it at this price also

Thanks for the help, those games don't really appeal to me for extra £20 and i can't find just a console any cheaper so think this may be the best deal about. Hmmm

Yes that is a good deal. Bravo

4gb RAM not 4GB HARD DRIVE

Very cold. A banana has more GB than this.

Eh?

4gb RAM not 4GB HARD DRIVE

No..

Its 4gb flash memory, which can be refered to as flash ram. jon1000jon is right, it doesnt contain a harddrive, that can be added at a later date if you ever decided you needed more than the 4gb you get with this.

you can remove and add a new hard drive just like the old model. Don't think you can buy them yet.

As kaishou says, same as the old ones, they just dont sell them yet (but have said they plan to);

Uhmmm does anybody knows if the 250gb model has 4gb built in? If so you can buy the 250gb version and sell the hard drive you probably get around £50 or more for it.

If anybody with the 250gb model can confirm whether you can use the XBOX without hard drive it would be quite useful.

as said before, get the one from the microsoft store for £170.97, mine came today.

I was tempted to get this one but if i bought a couple of map packs for MW2 or BC2 i would've been screwed.

I too was going to get the 4gb version, but then I was told it would only hold 2 or 3 demo games, or a couple of movies and it's full.... (used to playstation 3 and take hard drive size for granted, have atleast 40 demos saved).

The 4gb model just doesn't make any sense to me??? At some point you'd need to upgrade and I bet it would cost a lot more than £30 for a 250gb drive from microsoft....

If only they adopted PS3 hard drive policy and allowed any 2.5" sata drive, now that would be happy days... I have a 640gb drive in my ps3... FULL of movies and demos...

Microshaftseveryone (microsoft) are late with everything I.E wireless built in they will get the message @ some point in the next few years.

For the small price difference currently, there really isnt much point getting the 4GB version (about £30 extra for the 250gb version if including quidco), personally i think its a much better option, however plenty of people dont use xbox live or download to their consoles (just play off the disc), so could easily be ok with this version. Based on RRP's theres a £50 difference between them which seems fair enough.

This also has a different matte black finish to it, rather than it being glossy if that matters to people (i'm not a big fan of the glossy finish on consoles).

Just in case peep's do not know. The 4GB is MATT BLACK, hence not a dust collector like the 250GB.

I would prefer the matt personally but then don't want a console with no hard drive... Will no doubt buy a 4gb one at some point and swap the drive.... What a faff on... MS don't have a clue

That's intresting because I thought you like this sort of thing where you … That's intresting because I thought you like this sort of thing where you don't have to buy it all in one go, you know like you keep pointing out about Move. "You don't have to buy all the parts at once" it's your choice to do so if you decide toHypocrite comes to mind here.----------------------------They sell this model because many people do not want to go online, it's Kinect ready and as you can also use any 2 * usb sticks up to 16gb at any time =32gb total for saves etc there is no reason why you should need a hard drive, (you can also connect USB hard drives for music etc), but if you do decide to go online at a later date then the option is there to add the bigger internal hard drive, this model also comes with wireless "N" built in.Seems the best price to dateHotI don't know why you are bringing Move into this. And you talk about Move being able to buy only parts of it. Well yes and you then get the full use of it.But you are talking about using 16gb memory sticks and large HDDs with this xbox, so obviously only having a part missing is going to mess up the overall experience. It wouldn't have harmed Microsoft to chuck in a decent amount of GB.
