The Xbox 360 Core package is currently £200 at the moment but starting from 16/02/2007, Microsoft will be offering a free game and official Memory Unit and Play.com are doing it with £5 off and free delivery, plus if you go through Quidco, you'll get some cashback as well.

Please bare in mind that is isn't the Premium package, so it doesn't come with the little extras such as harddrives but if you're on a budget, you can get this now and buy the extras later.

Hope this helps.

Even though Play.com say there commission rate is 2% on Quidco, it's actually 4% and i think they do give cashback on consoles and accessories, despite stating they don't

6.5% on quidco too?

And 4% back on Boots points. Also, boots are doing the core system for £189.99.

Sorry mate, the deal is with play.com but i was going to post a deal with Boots first and then saw this deal while i was searching, so i made a mistake.

Can one of the moderators or admin please change the retailer from Boots to Play.com instead, i'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry for the mistake, hopefully the mods or admin will correct it quickly.

Damn, how comes this has suddenly received a cold reception, the only thing wrong with the deal, is the supplier but it's a very good deal for anyone that wants an xbox 360 but doesn't need the harddrive immediately and can be bought at a later date anyway.

In my opinion, this is a very good price for a next gen console, a game, a memory card and wired controller.

It's probably voted cold compared to some of the premium deals around.. eg blockbuster for 55 quid more to get the hdd, hd cable, headset etc as well as the 20 x £1 rental vouchers too.Personally if I wanted a budget option this would def be worth considering (though not as good as the £140 one a while back with PGR3+arcade).

Thanks for the appreciation and rep mate, i've left you some back as a thank you

Also regarding the other deal, it's not quite worth that price because the rest was already inclusive of Quidco cashback and boots points, which is only valuable if you like shopping in boots stores and not online.

Like you said, this is the best budget price offer available at the moment, the other offer was very good at the time but it's no longer available, so i've listed this deal to anyone that can't go back in time to purchase offers that's no longer available :giggle:

^ neither of those 2 mentioned were boots.. Empire Direct & Blockbuster.
I'd personally fork out the extra few quid then flog the rental voucher on ebay as blockbuster stock isn't in short supply.
Can even get a few quid of trading in old dvds etc.
