Oh, you also get £2 back on a reward card as Assassins Creed is £2 cheaper than Modern Warfare 2!

Dont forget to play the GAME mini game and get £5 off voucher.

Anybody know the trade in value of a banned xbox against one of these? :whistling:

Slightly dishonest, but probably around 50-60 quid I would have thought dependent upon model.

Nice price

Just to add by the way, well done on getting them to give you AC2 instead of MW2 instore. I was looking at PS3 bundles in Gamestation and Game on Sunday morning but they wouldn't let me trade the FIFA 10 which came with the model of console which I wanted for AC2 unless I paid them about an extra 20-odd quid.

The trade in price for Fifa 10 was only £18 so they could only offer me another game of up to that value apparently.

Cheers for that, rep left.

If this was £10 cheaper it would be hot as this is the price of the Amazon deal but in a brick and mortar store.

Its not so its not worth going for.

I am still voting hot as it was a good heads up from the OP to post it.

Exactly, I'm a bit annoyed at the OP as I don't believe it is store policy to allow you to pick equally priced but different games for a bundle. I want an Elite (or a console of some sort) with MW2 and L4D2. Even if Forza 3 and L4D2 were the same price, I don't believe GAME would let me pick the bundle that I want. To me this doesn't make sense. Assuming they buy both games from the wholesaler for the same amount, they should be happy to offer me the best bang for my buck, isntead of forcing me to sell on the game I don't want, or heaven forbid, trade it in to GAME on the day for the contents of one of the employees' pockets.

Anyway, mini-rant over. Please let me know if any of you get GAME to let you swap your bundled games. I might have another go today in an different shop.

Cheers,

H

P.S. Not voting a) because this deal has been about for a while as far as I remember and b) I'm worried my anger towards GAME will make me vote cold :s

Its not expired still available.

If you look at the Tescos ]mega deals they've got an advert for a Super Elite + Forza and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with £75 off. However it doesn't say the actual price, and when you click on it, the bundle isn't in the list.

Well their argument with me in the Gamestation store was that they have to compete with their high street rivals (Game) who admittedly were offering almost the exact same deal as they were. They also told me that they would not price match their own website which was slightly disappointing unfortunately.

Amazon deal now £189.99

Hmm, when you say compete, do you mean, offer a deal at least as good? If so, surely offering the customer two games that they actually want is a great deal, and therefore they have not only competed, but they have won. I assume you mean, they are not allowed to offer a better deal than their brother - GAME. If so, the argument is just that both GAME and GAMESTATION should offer two games that you actually want.

Online doesn't come in to it, as the online stores don't offer a wide choice of games either. I just don't understand why they consider it bad to allow one to swap the game they don't want for an equally priced one which they do want, assuming that if they don't the customer won't buy anything at all (me for example, I refuse to buy a game I don't want, call me strange). If someone can explain this to me I would be grateful. The bundles are essentially limited to a random selection of people tha randomly happen to desire the two included games. So, it is complete pot luck for the customer.

Anyway, life goes on.

Anyway, tried again today in Game and Gamestation, and no go on swapping Forza 3 for a different game. Had enough now, lol. So, this deal is officially hot if you like 360s MW2 (FPS) and Forza 3 (Driving 'sim'). If you don't then it isn't so good, as you will have to dispose of the unwanted game somehow, trying to lose as little money as possible in the process.

I have now voted hot, so don't 'hate on me', as an American would say, for the 'this deal is hot IF...' statement.

Cheers OP.

P.S. In game, the female CS agent went away and talked to the manager for about ten years and came back with 'we can swap Forza for another game (£39.99) if you just add £15. It's like, 'yes, of course you can, as the trade-in price for Forza is £25'. It's a total joke, having to trade in a sealed game you just bought (effectively) to get a game you want. Anyway, yawn.

this is a good deal, i ordered one and got free delivery.
i have searched everywhere for the cheapest bundle with modern warfare 2 and this is roughly about £20 cheaper than anywhere else.
ordered it in the evening and it was delivered the day after......

Hiya can anyone please tell me if this is worth getting now? Or do I wait until the boxing day sales? My son whos 10 already has a 360 which is going into its 5th year and we've just started havin a few problems ie 2 red lights flash and it turns off.I have taken it to bits and cleaned all the vents which actually worked last time but I fear its on its last legs now and could be time to replace it I really dont want to get him it for xmas as its not really that exciting getting a prezzie that you already have . Do they come down much after xmas? Grateful for any help or advice. Many thanks:roll:

I cant see the elite prices comming down any further for a good while personally. The games are worth £60 resale and are both top new releases you are getting cant see anything better than this sort of deal any time soon.

gamestation price matched the amazon deal for me and allowed me to swap mw2 & forza 3 for assasins creed & gta add on, plus threw in a hd-lead and offered me a half price second controller...

I must have got lucky as my mate went into same store the next day and they would not budge on price or trades..!!

I was going to say. Yes, you definitely got lucky. Although, isn't the GTA DLC disc cheap-ish? I tried to swap Forza for L4D2 (both £40) and they weren't interested, even if it means you will go and buy elsewhere.

Maybe the assistant fancied you.

I had no problem 2 weeks ago in Gamestation when I asked to Swap MW2 for a different game, he did at first suggest it would be an extra £15 to swap I simply said that if they wanted my business they would do it for the same price, it worked. Same has happened all 3 times I have bought a 360 be it Game or Gamestation, they try it on at first but they always budge when they realise that there's a hundred and one different retailers I can buy it from if I wish.

Politeness is the key, and not to look so desperate. I dont go in there saying "I want a 360 with blah blah blah" I wait until they approach me and when asked if I need help I say "yes I am thinking of buying one of these but I dont want that etc etc"..... works a treat

Well I actually told them out right when they asked that I didn't want Fifa in my house but they were adamant that they couldn't do anything unless I gave them extra money.

It's easy to say that, mate, but the simple fact is that they aren't really allowed to fudge the deals which are set by head office. So it isn't simply a case of being polite and they will offer to fudge the deal for every single customer. They simply don't. It's pot luck really. I'm happy for you to think there is a sure-fire way to get them to do what you want, though.

Both are marmite games.

Fifa 09 was brilliant, but Fifa 10 is only slightly better.

PES10 is a nice step from PES09.

So I would say if you can only go for one footie game this year go for PES10

Someone else will very likely say the opposite though.

Sorry, just to say all I did was go into the shop, bought the package, he did Modern Warfare 2 as a 28 day return, then I bought assasins creed 2 as a seperate transaction completely.

I reckon I could probably take Assassins Creed back and get my money back if I wanted, as it is a receipt all on its own.

The lad was the one who suggested to me I could return it as a 28 day return.

This was bought in Swindon Town Centre by the way!

Cheers

If the 2 games go though the till as FREE, though, which they should, then if you return said games you should get £0 as a refund. Basically, the guy that served you bodged it as he was feeling generous. Let's not advertise this deal as including Assassin's Creed 2/MW2 + Forza 3, as it is simply MW2 + Forza.

Went into Game and Gamestation neither would budge a penny off the offer price or throw in any extras, not even the £3 loyalty card. I bought online with topcashback from game and got 2.5% back.

Just a side note, if you're passing through Heathrow anytime soon HMV Duty Free had a reasonable deal on 360's. Best bundle I could see (and bought) Xbox 360 Elite, Fifa 10 & Forza 3 for £170.20 - available to all flights, not just outside-EU.

Hot... just bought this bundle from game online... will sell the Old white Xbox 360 (with 20gig hdd) I have to go towards it. Wanted these games anyway.

just ordered one myself. Heat added.

Out of stock online

Can know whether these consoles have a 150W power supply? This is the version of Jasper?
