I don't think the price is going to go much lower than £49.99 on these brand new, for a while at least. Voted warm

£49.99 Preowned Gamestation.

Cold.

They hardly get used, and in some cases in our gamestation some look unused, still with the plastic on the drive button...

This site is about cost saving, £49 against £69 about a 40% difference. They are coverered for 12 months from gamestation (I think), don't see the problem??. I know which one I would buy.

40% of £64.99 (not £69.99) is £26. The price difference between the op and yours is £15 which is equivalent to about 23.076% price difference.

For £15 I'd rather buy a brand new one from Amazon which will have better customer service if things go wrong....I believe second hand electronics are covered for 3 months (though I may be wrong there).

I agree, brand new, delivered to your door plus a small amount of cashback via either Nectar or Pigsback (I think they are the only ones).

MS are bringing out a Blu Ray add on soon (May I heard) - so this will come down rapidly around then

I hink the price will come down more soon also from other places.

I thought the drive was £69, so with the gamestation price of £49, makes the amazon one 40% more expensive that the gamestation.

Anyways, I think new units will be sub £50 within the week in most places.

Can anyone confirm this xbox addon plays bog standard disks without any difficulties or is it just for the HD format? And if it does play basic disk's is there any up-scaling facility on the player?

My son keeps on about wanting a DVD player for his room. Looks like a very small and neat solution to link up with his console with the bonus of HD should he want to use it.

Assuming it comes with Component and or HDMI connections?

Cheers!

The player connects to Xbox 360 via USB think the 360 itself upscales DVD's :?

gotta say buying any hddvd player now seems silly after their biggest backer toshiba said its not continuing with the format. if you really want one then wait a little they will keep plumeting in price. Think of HDDVD as the new beta max. also i believe that early xbox 360's didnt have hdmi output, so unless the player has an output on it it seems silly to buy a hddvd player if you cant output in a proper hi def form. others will be able to tell you if this is definately the case though. certainly not voting this cold, but not hot either.

Whilst this is a hot price ... the money sensible should probably hold off and wait for the price to fall further.

It will play dvd's, but as you need a xbox 360 for it to plug into, I don't understand.

If you are thinking "can this be used as a dvd player on its own". Well no, it only has a USB connector for connection to a xbox 360.

Note, it will not load xbox360 games, you MUST use the 360 for this.

40% of £49 is nearly £20, the amazon drive (I thought) was £69, hence the amazon drive is 40% more expensive that the gamestation.

If theyd just released this at this price at launch hd-dvd would have won
