O.k let me explain this and how to get it...

The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit is usually £24.99...
At the moment it is being sold in Gamestation for £17.99 (which is great in itself)...
What you do is...

Go to PC World, show them a print out of Gamestations offer of £17.99, (I printed out a copy of an order I made with Gamestation for both the wireless adaptor and the messenger kit).

You then ask them to price match (as they have a 110% price match policy)...

This means you will get it for £17.99 minus 10% of the price match difference.
£24.99 - £17.99 = £7, so 10% is £0.70, which brings it down to £17.29.
Then on top of that, get student discount. So get a mate, a nephew, a niece. Anyone withh an NUS card to buy it for you. (Getting my brother to do it for me). That'll get you an extra 10% off...

so £15.56
Which is a saving of £9.43 (38% saving off of RRP)

Use the same method to get the following Official Xbox 360 products...
- Wireless adaptor for £34.19 (57% saving off of RRP £59.99)
- Quick Charge Kit for £11.06 (45% saving off of RRP £19.99)
- Blue or Pink Wireless Controllers for £21.71 (44% saving off of RRP £32.99)
- Universal Media Remote for £11.06 (45% saving off of RRP £19.99)

Collecting mine from PC World in the morning... this will work, you just have to put the effort into it, as PC World will only price match a shop within 30 miles which has the product in stock.

Hope that makes sense, I've ordered the wireless adaptor and the messenger kit... so paying £49.75, when the RRP should be £84.98... GRAND SAVING OF £35.23, might go used those saved pounds to go get Assasins Creed. It's still cheap even if you don't use student discount.

Am I missing something here? The pad is £24.99 online at Gamestation

Except its not, its £17.99. But its out of stock so PC World wont price match.

I'm giving it a go... should still be able to pull it off, as the cashiers at my PC World aren't the brightest ones going. Keep an eye out for when it's back in stock then. It's not like there is a national shortage of them or anything.

Ahhh, only when you actually go to the items details is it that price, on the accessories page it's £24.99. :-)

Yeah sorry bout that... You can definately get the Quick Charge Kit, Universal Media Remote and Blue Wireless Controllers though as they are all in stock. As I said before I'm sure the other 3 items will be back in stock soon, so giving you a heads up.

could you not just give them a print-out of the main accessories discount page (link below) as that doesnt say if its in or out of stock but says the price and that you can buy it new or do they need info on the product so it will not work?

It's very easy to get a print-out of the detail page showing the product in stock:whistling:

1) Save the page in ie7 or firefox
2) Find another item instock on the gamestation website
3) Save the Buy New graphic (right click, save picture as), save it in the folder that was created in step 1 as oosnew.gif, overwriting the out of stock graphic.
4) Now go to the folder created in step 1, double click the htm file and voila!
5) Print that page out.

Will be trying this tomorrow - I doubt they go online and check every deal - but thinking about it, using this technique someone being a little bit naughty could just alter any page including the price, so they must check them! Oh well, will see what happens.

What your advocating is actually the criminal offence of fraud as it constitutes an intentional perversion of truth; deceitful practice or device resorted to with intent to deprive another of property or other right.
Merry Xmas:santa:
