most pointless computer game ever created, yet my nephews are obsessed with it, pity I can't show them real games like COD or GTA

Stop with that REAL GAME nonsense and actually give the game a chance. This game is far more creative than any COD.

Granted, I like COD, but it never innovates (with the exception of COD 4, which is the best in the series imo).

My kids love this game although it just looks boring to me.

Still, rather them play this than some violent, shoot and kill fantasy that seems to be the obsession of way too many 'grown ups'.

It's normally down to the creativity. They have an infinitely big world where they can build whatever they can imagine out of whatever they feel like using.

That's that cleared up then!

Lego for the console generation, nothing wrong with that.

This is the funniest post I've seen on HUKD. Real games like COD or GTA?! Hahahaha!

I applaud your nephews obsession with Minecraft, as it's one of the only games that rewards a child-like curiosity and intelligence. If you don't have much of an imagination, you won't have fun with it, so technically, if you don't enjoy Minecraft then you've only got yourself to blame!

So technically anyone over the age of 12 that enjoys Minecraft over getting blown off by hookers, putting a bullet through some Russian Mafioso's head or calling in the choppers for an Air Strike will have their intelligence and sexuality curiously scrutinised.

It is possible for kids and adults to be fantastically creative with this game - even more impressive considering the "graphics straight outta castle wolfenstein" that b0aby seems to dislike so much. Personally I'm glad that my kid enjoys creating rather than destroying in the videogame world, and he has spent the equivalent of days and days online with his friends in cooperative play engineering some amazing worlds.

Stunning graphics...

Some of the graphics mods on the PC version are insane. God knows how anybody runs the game using them.:)

I think it is great for Kids because it sparks their creativity. All I have done in the game is build a house with a bed and I don't know what else to do. A creeper clipped through the door of the house and blew the side of my house off. I re-built it but still don't know where to go from there.

Change the settings to "peaceful" that will stop the creepers and all other enemies.

Then go and explore the map, find a cave and take it from there.
