Saw this whilst i was in my local Asda in Edmonton 'Chav' Green. Was supposed to be picking up lunch but got sidetracked into buying this great game. Still showing Under £40 online.

Own and love the first one, compatible with Rockband 1 and Guitar Hero band equipment. I didn't notice the PS3 one though.

Thats one excellent price for this, and in my opinion out of the two is the better game than GH:WT, works great with GH:WT equipment and you can even import the songs from Rock Band 1 making a vast library (400 MS points I believe for DRM transfer from Rock Band 1)

My game of last year! Amazing.

Good deal, will try and pick it up tonight

Yep, good deal. I succumbed and bought it for £38 at Currys a few weeks ago as that that was the best in-store price.
I agree with Cicobuff, the Rock Band games are superior to Guitar Hero, but as a drummer I would say that :P

Seriously, the interface during the game is more polished and it flows better. Plus the tunes are 10 times better than the majority on GH:WT. The only thing that annoys me is the fact that some of the tunes are duplicated from the GH franchise and vice versa. With SO many stunning tracks out there that there's no need to repeat them on these different games. It's not a question of licencing, only laziness and ignorance.

Spot on  I bought it myself from Gamestation on release who price matched Currys.

There are no release dates for PS3 and Wii versions as yet...for the enjoyment of 360 owners only!

great price

a thing to note and something that annoyed me is that you can transfer the rock band 1 songs over apart from 3 of them which are the best 3 in my eyes enter sandman by metallica run to the hills by iron maiden and paranoid by black sabbath just something to note as it annoyed me as wanted to sell rock band 1

That is good to know, Griff1978. I've not transferred my RB1 songs over but have considered it. I put the AC/DC tracks into the RB2 game without any problems.

There's actually one other serious glitch with this game, but one which may not affect too many people.
If you have any DL'd songs from a friends/family members account and they're NOT signed in, your game sessions will crash when one of these songs is chosen by the console during a random setlist.
After powering through a 7-song setlist on expert level, the 7th chosen track was one of these and my whole session ended immediately which was a total waste of effort!
