Not quite as cheap as the Tesco deal (which has since expired), but close!

Why post this up if it is not the best deal out then?

if it's not as cheap .. where's the deal?

I'd rather buy from Amazon than Tesco so heat added.

Yeah because that's available to everyone...

Amazon you'll still get Nectar points though, and if there are any problems I'd rather deal with them over Tesco.

Most people may no someone theres 10,000s of staff in UK, besides It's all about personal preference. I prefer tesco for the above reasons but also because I can just pop into a store if i've got a problem and I know from my mates experiences that Amazon does not treat it's staff very well, so I'd rather not support that.

The reason these are getting so cheap is because they're getting phased out.

Microsoft will be introducing a matt version as standard for the slim models instead of the now current glossy one, in the next few weeks.

Just a heads up if it's a factor for anyone.

I imagine Tesco doesn't treat its staff that well either, most conglomerates don't...
All being told, I don't know anyone who works at Tesco, so that discount is void.

I don't do cashback sites so it's Amazon for me.

Nice price +heat

Are there any internal differences or is it just the appearance?

All Xboxes are soon changing to a matte finish, so if you want a shiny one, don't wait too long.

No FNC just the larger internal 250GB HD

New Xbox should be out next year I hope. I can't see them milking the 360 for much longer so looking for big discounts near/after Christmas for sure.

@james ... do you mean theres a new higher speced xbox coming out or did you mean the matt finish one is coming out next year ?

Dream on. I imagine that Microsoft and Sony will continue selling the current generation for just about as long as they can. Late 2013 is probably the earliest you'll see the next Xbox, and I wouldn't be at all surprised (in fact I think it's probably more likely) to see it appear in autumn 2014.

Truth is, there just isn't a big clamour from the public for the next console generation because the current generation is still actually pretty good. Of course I still want to see nice discounts on an Xbox around Christmas, new model or not.

£138 at Tesco now!

How did you get Tesco to reissue the deal ? . Can we get it done again

Sighhhh, I go away for a short break (on Saturday) after having my xbox Rrod on me hours before I go. I checked quickly online for prices and saw £148-00 at Tesco, I was sure to purchase it on my return which happens to be today, and now... the price is back up to £189-00 =((( *very sad face*

I had the same thing happen to me on sat hence why i was looking at the cost of new xbox's. However i tried the Xbox towel mod (See you tube or google) and it fixed the RROD issue for me. However i still thought it would be a good idea to replace my aging xbox (2006 model) for a new one. Was very annoyed when i delayed my order while i did the towel mod and missed out on the £148 offer .. gutted. If only they had indicated it was a time limited offer i wouldnt have hesitated.
