That's not a bad deal, just bought the wireless adpater from GAME for £59.99 but already have live.

Sure this will be good for someone.

£70 hmmm

£27 for xbox sub

im sure you could get a wireless adaptor cheaper than £43

The official Xbox wireless adapter doesn't tend to be cheap although there are alternative solutions which go through the ethernet port on the 360 and bridge wirelessly for you.

John

I thought about getting one of these as my connection through my wireless mimo pc would sometimes cut out. Decided against it since this uses a/b/g technology and at the moment this wireless technology is pants for gaming imo.

Went for homeplug instead, and I don't regret it - 100% stable connection. Maybe when "n" comes out, things will start getting more reliable, but I don't have to worry about that anymore

Edit;

Good deal btw (if you have thin walls). Voted hot. Also I heard if your router can use "a" then you should use that for the 360 as it's more stable.

Although there can be issues with gaming wirelessly, claiming it's 'pants for gaming' is far too general. I have the official wireless adapter and have no issues gaming at all, the connection is entirely stable and the latency is good - the only problem is with the ADSL connection itself (I miss cable) but there's a little can be done abot that.

John

I bought an ethernet cable off ebay for £9 and its long must be 20m and i got online in an instant -- yes i could go wireless but £43 is kinda costy when i dnt mind a cable going through my house

so you just connected the ethernet cable into your exisitng modem and into the back of the 360?

Also does it slow down when you use both ur oc and 360 at the same time?

That's true. Wireless will always come second over a hardwired connection. Any lag is too much lag when gaming

Live is basically the Microsoft's online service for the Xbox (and now for PC) - it covers various aspects but primarily it allows downloading of videos, demos, game expansions and gaming online. There are two levels of services, Xbox Silver is standard for any user and allows most of the functionality of Live apart from gaming online - Xbox Gold is the paid subscription which lets you play your games online.

John

wired in general is better got a belkin 5m plug into modem when not on PC, cos 360 plugged into VGA on TFT and comp is DVI.

If you have a router with some spare network ports then all you do is plug the network cable (one is supplied with the xbox) into your router. From memory I think the xbox detects the settings on the router and there is very little messing about....

You'll love it - bet you can't wait till xmas....

Good deal.

I have two 360's, both connected wirelessly (adaptors bought from CEX for £35 each) and my pings are lower than when I was using a wired setup.

Ethernet is cheaper, but who wants a huge cable snaking through the house?

is a good website if you have problems connecting your xbox 360 to your computer

Game sells a 10 meter cable for £9.99 if your comp is far away
