Yep, had a little DVD case style thing in my local store - I got mine with Street Figher 4, totalling the two together at £49.98 - Also handy to get even more cash off with the little McDonalds money off things as I forgot to use mine today!

seems a good deal - hot

I bought this with Street Fighter 4, under £50 all in all, I think the cheapest on the high street by a long way. I forgot about the McDonald's vouchers though, ******.

It's all a rip-off. The PS3 has this as standard, but you have to pay extra for this with Microsoft!!
Great price though - if you have an XBox and wireless router you HAVE to get one of these.

What are the McDonalds vouchers?

If you buy certain things from McDonalds (like large fries) you get a sticker. One of the more common prizes is a £1 voucher for HMV. But there is a minimum spend and you can only use one per transaction.

It would only get you £1 of this, but worth it if you have one lying around

BTW: Voting COLD because PS3 has it as standard!!! (my attempt at sarcasm. Cheapest price I have EVER seen for this so a hot from me)

is this nationwide, if so very impressed with HMV slashing the game prices and now this on top
HOTHOTHOT

Hot. Just wish it was online too.

Goddamnit! I bought SFIV in HMV this morning and saw nothing about this deal!!! This is one of those rare occasions where I wouldn't have minded the staff trying to flog me something extra at the till!!! Alas, nothing

Maybe call the store and speak (nicely) to the manager?? Got to be worth a shot?

Come on guys this is getting real old. The Xbox was released way before the PS3 so they can have a few problems that wasn't ironed out properly.

If you need the Wireless adaptor this is a good deal. If you've got a PS3, good luck to ya. Just skip along to the next thread will ya.

No point stepping in trying to burn the place down over something as silly as a game console choice.

This is sooooo stupid, yes everyone knows ps3 has online free but as the rrp for this is £60 then its a fantastic deal!! So dont vote cold all you ps3 nerds!

I stand corrected

This adapter is so expensive because it incorporates 802.11a protocol which, for whatever reason, costs more to producce than a standard b or g adapter only. I believe you get less intereference on 'a' which makes it more reliable for gaming. The PS3 just has the normal b/g standard.

Yep, 802.11a works over a 5Ghz frequency, which hardly anything else uses.

Great deal!
I'm wondering if we are about to see a permenant price drop on this as there seem to be a lot of offers around.

BTW can anyone point me to a good deal on Halo 3 for the Playstation? :whistling:

Do HMV still do student discount? If so, I'm off in today to pick this up!

Anyway back to the real reason why people look on this site.
Just been to HMV & bought the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter & Street Figher IV for £49.99 (but you have to tell them about the deal at the till because some of them don't know about it) then went over the road to CEX & got £23 cash (or £28 store credit) for the game. to my adding up that's a price of £26.99 for the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter. TOP DEAL
Cheers Sicpuppy
P.s i got told the deal will finish on the 15th of May

People just voting on the price rather then reading the article. Your not spending £29 your spending over that amount. Chart games so can't be cheap ones would have to be £20 on up probably. Still an expensive piece of kit, compared to a £2 network cable of any sort. I have both an xbox and ps3 so no garbage regarding my thoughts on either console.

I wouldn't pay £25 for this, and isn't there people who have found alternative means to get wireless using a usb wireless card thats cheaper then this?

Oh theres probably one way of getting your money back. Cex being one of them.

the cheapest game in the HMV Xbox charts is Your in the movies at £14.99 but CEX will only give you £8 for it.
