Decent deal but not an incredible deal which is why the cold voting I guess.

You can usually get a 13 months Live for about £28 off ebay. Plus there has been deals recently where you can get a wireless adapter for about £30-£35.

I don't actually know if this bundle is the cheapest at the moment cos I can't be bothered looking but if you must buy it from here, use voucher code YAWAPR09 for an extra 5% off.

Agree with Toybhoy. Live can be bought for under £30 and a wireless adapter can be got for under £35.

Totally disagree with the above comments. This is a good deal. You cannot compare this to anything on eBay. Imagine the flaming someone would get if they decided to post an eBay link for any of them items in this deal.

Heat n Rep

I also dissagree, because some people don't have paypal accounts - i certainly know a few. And for £11 more i'd pay it, but i've allready got wifi + live :P

Hot, +rep tbh. & welcome to the weird and wonderfull world of HUKD!

maybe people voting cold due to the level of profit big M make on retail price, voted hot, as possibly best price i've seen.

Id like to know where the £30 -£35 deals for the wireless are... Cheapest I found was £40+

Hot!

me too

if your looking for both then its a decent price, still not great tho...if your looking for 1 and planing to sell the other then it doesnt seem very good to me!

great deal, although i have both already, because cheaper wifi adapter now is £50. they where only £35 around christmas because companies such as game and shopto where doing a christmas sale since then they have rocketed back to £50 and are people forgetting this works out at £35 each meaning that the 12 month live u get is still £5 less than the rrp and therefore an amazing deal.

This is a great deal.

Like I said guys, I dont know if this is cheapest or not but do remember to use this code YAWAPR09 for an extra 5% off.

How easy are the wireless adaptors to setup?

Don't really need the wireless adapter, just want XBL, should I still get it?

Is this online too?? As I am using the PS3 at the moment I can't check.
In the OP it says instore so why bang on about this voucher?
Surely if it was online then there would be P & P to pay and 5% wouldn't even touch that. I understand every little helps and all that....

Delivery charge is just under £5 so using Toybhoy's code will get it for just under £69 delivered.

must be instore only. great deal if you are after both...

No its online as well: ]here
Not sure if link will work ok but its product code 175922

I'll add heat. I usually see the wireless adaptor on its own for around £60.

Easy as pie. Just search for wireless networks and input the wireless security key if you have one.

follow my lead to:

crackin deal, bout time the MS adaptors came down in price, bundled with 12 months xbox live, bargain .H&R added

not hot for a usb wifi dongle - but as every accesory for the 360 is a rip then is a fair deal (not the argument of the day i admit)

I had a free la fonera which I hacked for 360 wifi - tiny little thing and works a charm and I got an old xbox starter kit (probably one of the last remaining oout there ) for £12 on amazon market place.

got a 120gb HDD @ £30 in the HMV sale

not voting either way but if you look around really hard and are prepared to wait you can save yourself some change on extortionately priced 360 accesories if you cant do without it then this is probably an 'ok' deal

Nice one, cheapest I've seen for a while.

I doubt you could sell it at Game or Gamestation et al but I'm sure someone would take it off your hands.

Unless you plan on selling the adapter, there is no real point in you spending £69 just for Xbox Live when you can get a 12 month subscription for £40 through your console. I'm sure you can get a cheaper 12 month subscription elsewhere too, I've seen a few deals on this website posted for cards with 12 months on for a decent price.

Very easy. I use one, and can't fault it.

Hot deal

It's a great deal if you're after both but the past few years I brought my Live subscription on eBay which is slightly cheaper.

No.

....

IMO you should NOT get the xbox 360 wireless adapter. It's a rip off for something that isn't very good and only works with the xbox. Wireless networking is unreliable and slow - why choose it when you can get wired? And furthermore, you're spending £40+ on something that can only work with an Xbox 360 (afaik) ? Why?

Get a pair of Homeplug adaptors, which allows you to create a network through your electricity cables. It's 8-10 times faster than this wireless unit, infinitely more reliable, rock solid, works over an entire house without any "signal" loss, and in the future when the 360 becomes redundant, you can use it to network the next generation of consoles or media players. You plug one adaptor into an electrical socket near your router, ethernet wire from router to adaptor, then plug the other adaptor anywhere in your house in another electrical socket, ethernet wire to your 360, and it's entirely plug and play. A pair of Slowise Homeplug adaptors costs around £50, only a few quid more than the crappy 360 wireless adaptor, and gives you a much, much better connection to your router.

I personally bought one Slowise Homeplug adaptor for the router connection, and a Venesse (I think its called that) adaptor with three ethernet ports for the 360 end (which gives me room to add additional networked consoles/media centres should I wish to). Sold me 360 wireless adaptor immediately as its utter crap in comparison to the wired setup.

Yes because homeplugs arnt a rip off? im sick of hearing about them in my opinion. if you have a router that has been configured correctly this adapter is the best option for yout xbox 360. I have never lost connection once and it fits nice and snug on the back of the 360. homeplugs mean still using wires. loved its when you said "you can use it to network the next generation of consoles or media players" i belive ethernet cables where dropped many generations ago in terms of technology the whole reason for going wireless with this adapter

The reason the xbox adapter is so much compared with PC doingles is that the 360 adapter has to do all of the decoding between analogue signal from the router to digital for the 360 to understand and then back from digital to analogue and back to the router.

PC dongles costing around £10 get the processor in the pc to do all of the decoding and all the pc dongle does is transmit and pick up the signal between the router and nothing else.

You need not even go into PC World - can get it online at Dixons here

I think it is a really good deal.

My Live subscription runs out yet again this Thurs (5th time now?)

...I need new jeans too though, mine are literally falling apart!
Unfortunately it's one or the other.

Buy a new sub for live and play in your pants!

Homeplugs are a good idea if you look around and get a good price on them, £50 is perhaps a little more than I would like to spend on them though. As for them being 8 to 10 times faster with no signal loss.. sorry but that is actually nonsense ;-)
An WIFI dongle has the ability to transfer at 54mbps MAX, top the the range Homeplugs transfer at 200mbps MAX. But you will never see those speeds.. you are far more likely to see closer to 80-100mbps in the average house. Solwise publish their average expected transfer speeds on their site somewhere.

What on earth are you on about here? :? Any respectable piece of tech has an RJ45 port.. Xbox 360, PS3, Popcorn Hour, Pretty much any PC ever made..

Wireless is still in the early stages yet for the consumer
