Amazon were doing this for about £34 before Xmas which probably explains the cold votes. Just had a quick look to see if its cheaper elsewhere and powerplay direct have it for £42.99 delivered.....(and there is a 2% code in vouchers)
powerplaydirect.com/asp…=AC

Thanks for the post - I'm not voting either way on this one.

EDIT - thats a lie - I voted it hot - hate to see people get very cold temps when they go to the trouble of posting a deal.

I thought about getting myself this, and then I thought that I would go down the Homeplug route.
3 x homeplugs for £85 with transfer speed of 200mbps - ideal for using xbox as media streamer. (You can buy two for less than the cost of this adaptor but with a slower transfer speed). Link ]here

Still a hot price for this product. Voted hot.

If anyone can find it cheaper than the OP posting price and in-stock can they post the link. Nothing worse than hearing "it WAS cheaper seveal weeks ago...blah"...this is the current price that the OP can find, if it is in stock cheaper elsewhere I'd love to see the link coz I'm looking for one at the moment, although I am holding out to see if the price does get cheaper eventually.

Voted hot from me as nobody has posted a link showing it cheaper elsewhere and in-stock :thumbsup:

Much better idea, which will explain some cold votes too.

The only issue I had with this route is that I'd need to plug in 2 sockets, which means more electricity used and the use of 2 sockets, plus the use of 2 more network cables. Whereas this 360 adaptor just plugs into the usb socket at the back of the console and is powered from there, practicality has its price as well I suppose, but not many people take that into account.

Fair point.

Its pretty common knowledge that there are various ways of connecting your xbox to a router

use the network cable

use homeplugs

through a laptop

using a wireless gaming bridge

use an MS adaptor
All have pro's and cons but for me the adaptor was the neatest and most flexible option. None of the above reasons are any reason to vote this cold - the only reason for cold votes if it can be found cheaper eg at Power Play

The main reason I don't post the Power Play as deal is because it will be voted cold for the wrong reasons......:whistling:
