Awesome game
Great game
Well worth the £4! I already have the disc but I’m tempted to just get this and sell the disc on whilst it’s jumping back up in popularity
I still tell people to this day it’s one of the best if not THE best campaign I have ever played
Glad this is finally BC. Looking forward to playing it through again.

100%, it’s not just a case of knowing it, you need to go through it with the characters 🏼 I honestly can’t recommend it enough
Excellent game, completed twice so far!
A truly fantastic game that really slipped under the radar. It starts off as a typical competently made if a bit dull Third Person Shooter with a gimmicky use of the environment being used as a potential weapon. But then all of a sudden when you discover the White Phosphorus it becomes a fascinating deconstruction of the genre as the protagonist you control descends further and further in to madness and eventually PTSD. It is a game that really kind of points out the absurdity of modern war shooting games the idea of kill streak rewards, bonuses for headshots and how the use of those game mechanics often disguises and ignores how f***ed up a thing war really is

You can see how the developers were inspired by Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now but uses those inspirations on top of its game mechanics and tropes of the genre to speak directly to the player. The setting of Dubai itself opens up to a lot of symbolism as well and its the only game I have played where you are shooting at US soldiers whilst you are one yourself, as opposed to some generic soviet soldier or nondescript middle eastern. That was a brave decision for the developers Yaegar to of made but one that was necessary for the story.

As narrative it is one of the most interesting I have witnessed in a game, and like Nier Automata and Undertale it is told in a way that only the medium of Video Games could really get across. I know that it really doesn't look like it from the box art but if you love video games you owe it to yourself to play what will be looked back on as a classic of its console generation.

awesome game, better than most of todays offerings.
Well. Can't argue with all these positive reviews. I've gone and bought it. Never heard of this until now haha.
If you buy this through your 360 you can use funds in your MS account whilst if you buy it through your One they'll take it off your card, is that right?
Tempted by this, but have far too many other games to play. Sure they mentioned this game on the Dev Game Club podcast recently

The first third might be a bit slow going, I remember my first initial impressions were 'Where is the Game of the Year stuff in this!?' and then 'the moment' happened which turned everything. It was also kind refreshing to play a game that isn't fun and wasn't trying to be fun as well

Honestly really looking forward to it. Sounds fantastic. Have played a lot of interesting games and I feel like this one is missing off my list. Can't not play it

Yes that’s correct, it’s cos the 360 marketplace is separate to the One

Yeah I bought it on the 360 I got set up in our bedroom and it immediately asked me to make the payment straight off the funds in my account, clicking on the link here to the MS site it only lets you pay with your card.

As soon as I looked at my ready to install section in the my games & apps on the X in the front room it was there. Proper handy that as I always buy my MS/Xbox pre-paid as cheap as possible so buying these BC titles is extra cheap making the purchase on the 360

Really great game this, loved it on PS3 so fair play to OP, what a stonking first deal!
Looked all around for this for the last few days boxed and I had no luck as every boxed version was dearer than the digital version, and the £.50 trade in price didn't help so I bought it digitally for £20.

That was about 14 hours ago. Is there any way I can get a refund and rebuy?
I can see this being on Games with Gold soon...

Do you think he'll know who shot JR Ewing and who stabbed Dennis Rickman if I asked him?

I appreciate these sickening crimes took place like 20 and 40 years ago respectively but they haunt me every day because I couldn't be bothered to watch the following episodes at the time to find out

Hey do you know who shot JR by any chance?

What about Dennis, any idea who buried the 6 inches of steel in his vital organs?

It was late when I commented and really should have been in bed. I might have overreacted. However, I think that I enjoyed the game particularly because of the surprises and plot twists it had. Had I known when going in that PTSD is an important theme, that it is a critique of war and the relevance of the white phosphorus, it might have lessened the impact of the story.
