Most places selling 12 months xbox live gold for around £30-£40, so thought this wasn't a bad deal.

This works out cheaper by about 70p - taking account of 12 month membership £30 at amazon and 2100 points £15 at play.com (140 points per pound, 800 points = 800/140 = ~£5.70p).

My gold runs out Feb 8th, Pretty good deal.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how hot is this deal?

NOT HOT, Microsoft offer is £30 with Free XBL Game (400-800 points worth) If you're worried about Credit Card Issues then either use a card that runs out before 12 months up or call MS up and cancel the card or just select NO AUTO RENEW in your options. MS playing with credit card details is a woe of the past.

why not just see on a scale of how hot this deal goes you know how hot it is :P

This is far from hot, I always pay around £25-£28 a year, who would pay an extra £10 for 800 points.

Hot for me my live runs out in Feb, was going to get the amazon deal but the 800 points will come in handy.

NOT TRUE, these dashboard deals are different for each user. This particular deal is available for some users, not others. It depends whether you're close to renewal and whether you're currently on a special deal.

HOT DEAL!

Voted Cold as you can pick up a 12 month card for £30 without the 800 MS points

Twonk, you are getting the points cheaper, and I for one need them as well.

Voted hot.

Not too bad of a deal...my subscription ends in April, I did have the offer of 12 months + a free XBLA game for £29.99 on the dashboard I was going to go for it but noticed last night that the offer changed to the same deal but for £32.99 so I'm going to hold off for the time being.

Mine too, I actually logged in to buy and it was changed. Not due for expiry until Feb 2012 so they can stuff that.

The offer i had on the dashboard before christmas was 12 months for £26.50 not been on since then so hoping its still on. probs not knowing my luck!!

voted cold as not much of a deal realy i bought 12months and a PS3 remote control for £16 offf very.co.uk with the £25 discount voucher. but only £26.99 on market place thro xbox

Not long paid £23.99 for 12 months live so not that hot a deal.

The dashboard deal I get is for 2 years gold for £66 IIRC, so that's £33 a year = rip OFF!!

Looks like I'll be silvering it up for a while or seeing if I can get a sub-£30 deal somewhere

As stated by others, the dashboard deals depends on when you are due a renewal. I haven't had live membership for well over 2 years so the deal I am offered is £39.99.

*yawn*

If there's two (or more) of you who want renewals then get the family pack. Its £69.99 ish and you can get 4 accounts which you can use on different xBoxes so you dont even have to live with your 'Family'!

4 for the price of <2!!

It's worth paying £1 extra to skip the painful auto-renew cancel process (takes 1 min for some takes 2 hrs for others)

How can the 800 M$ points be free? Marketing-gibberish. This is a bundle price - nothing is free.

Yes I am. And... what? It must have changed from the last time I used the service, I cancelled the Card Renewal because you had to phone up to cancel and moved onto Cards.

Heat added. Despite the moaning, let's call 12 months ~£30. So paying a fiver for 800 points is pretty reasonable.

HOT!

Well I've never been offered any cheap deals on my Xbox dashboard and the site I used to get my Gold sub from for £25 a year now charges £32; so this seems like a decent price to me for 12 months gold + 800pts.

Are you kidding me? You got it with a £25 off voucher so of course it's **** cheaper you fool!

Topcashback also tracked on this, so am guessing Quidco will too.
