Xbox Live (12 months) £31.65 @ Gamesdeal

Looking to subscribe for another year...was thinking about taking the ‘1 month for £1’ deal and then seeing what deals become available in the run up to Xmas. Then I spotted this - not a bad price for 12 months.

I know Microsoft are currently charging £39.99 for 12 months, with quidco offering £8 cashback - but I have been stung by them in the past!

Anyway, hope this helps somebody.

But it's only £29.99 here

Also PayPal charge bumps Gamesdeal to £32.92.

Some accounts can get gold for 1 month for a pound through their dashboard. You need to wait for your Xbox Live membership to lapse, first.

ah ok, thanks. Missing the old prices off around £24-£28.

Probably worth waiting less than a week to see if Amazon does it for £25 on black Friday again

I am getting an xbox for the kids and therefore know very little about xbox live

is there a difference between xbox live and xbox live gold?
(Or are they the same thing?)

Fair play, sir! I was unaware of this deal.

Never used Rakuten before, though.

It’s the same thing. You must pay for Xbox Live Gold if you want to play games over the Internet. Xbox Live Silver is free and allows you to access apps like Netflix for free. Hope this makes sense.

True. In fact, getting the month for a pound and then stacking any Black Friday deal would be the best option.

Can anyone post a link to the £1 month deal. I’ve had Gold, it’s now expired but my dashboard isn’t offering any savings. Help....?

I wonder what happened to the days of £20 Gold.

As with any retail product they go through inflation.
Obviously it's gone up more than standard inflation but the quality of the product is higher (or perceived to be) so the manufacturer put their prices up & retailers put on their cut.

Mine runs out on the 25th so hoping to get a nice deal. I remember EA access for like £3 for 2 months last year

With retailers, it's still £40, and I remember it as always being £40? It just seems that only within months, it went from around £20 to £30+. Also to note that it was £20 on sites like cdkeys, but it's £30+ on the same kind of sites.

Last year I paid £25 from Amazon, year before I paid £18 from CDKeys... £30+ is very disappointing

Well it is sub £30 with a movie if you follow the link above ... not sure why this deal is getting so much heat when it is cheaper elsewhere

You also get free games every month with a gold membership so depending on the games you like, it works out quite reasonable.

Have a look at the prices to extend your xbox live account direct from your xbox.
If you have not got Xbox live gold yet, you could always get the one month £1 deal and then extend it at these prices.

I suspect not everybody wants to sign up/create an account with Rakuten. Personally, I’d rather just pay the extra £1-odd. Each to their own, I suppose.

Can you still stack Xbox live membership?

What is Xbox live please ? Can you play games on steam or pc ( euro truck stimulator ) using Xbox live ?

Tempted to say greed but there's more to it than that I expect.
