A number of members of my family play COD MW2 & I've been getting nagged to stock up on points as the new map pack is supposed to cost 1200 points at the end of this month - so much appreciated ;-)

Just ordered a couple... cheers!

I would recommend using xbox live uk 76 for the subscriptions, as for 12 months it's £27.99 there. The points there are more expensive, so it seems a good deal

New Map pack for COD MW2 is a total con of the 5 maps two are old maps (from COD 4 MW), so for 3 new maps Activision have increased the price (it's normally 800 MS points). Go Figure.

Sticking with Bad Company 2 now as the next map release is free.

It's a travesty. I just hope MW players have the sense to not purchase them and set a precedent for future DLC.

...But of course they will

They aren't really old maps since the old ones won't work on the new game so that argument has annoyed me somewhat. That's like saying the general layout of MW2 is the same as MW and therefore they shouldnt charge for it.

More important is the potential precedent this will set, if people buy this map pack, and they will, M$ and Activi$ion will think they can get away with it in the future for other games (including your beloved BC2). I personally think they will make less money by charging more to fewer people. I would also hope that the Stimulus Package contains more than just maps, there were rumours of additional spec ops missions (which for me would be worth the 1200 tag alone).

Hopefully that will be the case althought if it was I'm not sure why they'd keep it under wraps.

ahaha im assuming the OP saw someones post in 4200 woolworths thread

Why wouldn't they work exactly? It's the same engine. AFAIK PC users hacked the game to add the COD4 maps within a couple of weeks of the game coming out..

The fact you can escape the Karachi map and get into COD4s Backlot map shows how much recycling has been going on.

It's a con and no I won't be buying them.

£14.99 is a pretty good deal for the points do go towards something more deserving though ;-)

Stock up time!

if you buy the subscriptions how long are they valid for. as we have just renewed ours in the new year

there delivery seems slow, have ordered twice in the past but its still the cheapest online!

it depends...you can get 1, 3, 12, and 13(12+1) month subscription cards...or you can sign up via live directly with MS and give thme your card detials for a monthly Direct Debit...I think its cheaper ot get 12 months in one go...this price is quite good but as someone else pointed out you can use online companies to get them for a little cheaper...I have never used that method as it seems a little dodgy but some reputable members on here have said they work so maybe worth a little research...hope that helps

wrt the MW2 maps pack..its bound to come down in price soon....I have it on 360 and ps3 and wont be buying the maps for a couple of months yet...as I just got BFBC2 so im in no hurry but they are bound to bring em down in price if everyone has the same opinion

12 Months are usually £29.99 online at certain stores, with an extra month free, arent they?

Ive bought a couple over the past 3 years of being a Live member.

Never ordered from before. What are they like?

Never had any problems...quidco always fast to track and receive....but some others say they are slow for delivery

Ordered some points, cheers OP

Can't work out if I've missed something or not but, in terms of the 2100 points card, isn't this cheaper and don't you get more from Quidco (2% instead of 1%)?
