I know it can be gotten a bit cheaper other ways, but a good price for a mainstream store

This is the very reason I didnt get a Xbox 360.

isnt it enough the games are more expensive on consoles?

This is ok if you want to buy from a known shop, but if you don't mind buying off eBay then (eBay No. 330375474467) is only £27.49 and is dead reliable too. You will receive your number within an hour.

and you think its going to get any cheaper?

your a mug if you do

Why would you want to get it from a mainstream store, when it's cheaper elsewhere?

You're only paying for code!

I never understand this argument. The biggest ripp off in the world could account to little more than £1 a week if you take comfort in that.

The reality is that it's £33 thats charged in a lump sum (no option to pay weekly)...and lasts only a year before you're charged again. And regardless of how you view the "service" that live offers, thats £33 a year that ps3 owners save... £33 that can get the next call of duty, or dlc each month.

The xbox live "service" should be optional.. it shouldnt be optional to get access to all the contents that you already own on the games you've been charged the same price as ps3 gamers have been charged. Having access to what you've paid for should be a right..not a privilege.

Besides which.. though MS wish to charge you £40 to unlock parts of your game, £33 is still not a great deal.

Head over to the DVDFORUMS and you'll find a chappie doing these for £25.99
